Wish me luck :)

Hi all,

So today is my first official day of calorie counting. I didn't get off to a good start and ended up just bunging toast in the toaster like I do every morning like I do for me and my daughter then remembered I was meant to be having something else - oops!

I am going to try and do a food diary in the diary section which I'll start this evening, so please keep a check on me to check how i'm doing, I think i'm gonna need it!

I've planned all my meals till Friday and have taken thigh, hip, waist and arm measurements as well.

Only bad thing was, Ive been the same weight now for a couple weeks (10 stone and 3/4) and suddenly when i weighed this morning I am 10s 12lbs. Rubbish

Look forward to getting to know you all on here :D

Thanks everyone. Looks like I have fluffed my 1st day up already though - I ate a packet of supernoodles as it says 100g is 175kcal and the whole packet is 100g, but I have since found out that is before it is cooked, so its more like 524kcal. I'm most upset :character00117:

Is that right? x

Don't worry about it now, it wasn't intentional. I've just looked on myfitnesspal and yup, one packet cooked is 524 calories. How many calories are you aiming for a day? Don't get upset about it, there's no need. You made a mistake but it's not a big one and now you know!

Thanks hun,

I was just annoyed cause i spent ages planning my meals for the week and have already made 2 silly errors! Oh well, I just did half an hour of a Davina DVD, which i've never done before, so thats something positive :D

Don't feel bad about little slip-ups now, you'll soon get into better habits with calorie counting and you'll get used to the things you can and can't eat (of course, you can eat whatever you like, just moderate the quantities, but you get used to what keeps you full and helps you to stay on-track). I find calorie counting to be quite easy once I'm in the swing of it, so don't be put off. Tomorrow is a new day :)
