Working Solution: it's going to work for me :0)

I have ordered a weeks supply so far and this is due to come in next week.

I have been trying to lose weight now for a couple of years on and off, but never quite manage to stick to anything for more than a couple of days. I think the trouble is when I'm allowed anything on the diet I tend to go a bit overboard.

I have decided to try Exante and lose the 40lb I need to, to get to a healthy weight. I know it's not going to be easy but you don't get something for nothing do you? ;)

Anyway, I thought I'd keep a diary on here so that there's more motivation to finally lose the weight.

I am giving myself a target of October 2012 to lose the weight as I am trekking to everest base camp and could do with a smaller butt to haul up the side of a mountain.

My starter pack should arrive next week, when I can start looking forward to a slimmer me :p

Started exante today :)

Not half as bad as I thought it would be. Had the strawberry shake for breakfast, chicken and salad for lunch, half the bar in the afternoon as a snack. Tomato and basil soup for dinner and the rest of the bar for pudding.

I've been on training this week, with loads of free biscuits and the like and I've managed to sidestep those, which I'm well chuffed about.

I have to say the tomato soup isn't very nice so I won't be ordering that again.

I actually like the fact that the shakes aren't too sweet, it's makes them so much nicer than those I have tried before (slim fast, celebrity slim).
I might actually enjoy doing this diet.

Going to go on the exercise bike in a bit, try and do at least forty five mins a day on there and I should well on my way to my target weight within the next few months.

Start weight is 11st 2lbs, so hopefully when I have my weight in next week I might have dropped a few pounds.

Keep you all posted.

Hiya D, thats a very cool goal to have. Are you doing working solution? Keeping a diary is great for motivation, I love posting in mine haha. :) x

Silly me just seen that it says WS in your title. :)

Hope you do great!!! Keep posting! :)

I don't know why, but I'm finding that if I'm keeping a diary of what I'm eating and other people can see it then I'm less likely to fall off the wagon.

It also makes a massive difference having some support that doesn't involve going to a slimming club.

I'll try and post everyday and hopefully this should help me stay on track :)

Hi keep up the good work and a food diary sounds great. I have just had my soup for lunch and had a bar for breakfast . Going to try and stick with it today xx

Hi All,

Am on the 2nd day of Exante and this it how it went.

Had the banana shake for brekkie was was really nice and managed not to get hungry even when there was a mcdonalds breakfast in front of me.

Had half a bar as a snack mid morning, then for lunch I had Cajun Chicken and a salad, roughly 400 cals (I think), low carb as well :).

Had the thai chicken soup ready to go when I got home, tried it, wasn't keen, had a choc shake instead, which was really filling, I didn't think it would be, but there you go, it was a nice surprise.

Having the other half of the bar for pudding and thats me done for the day.

I tend to weigh myself every morning just to see how its going and I've dropped from 156lbs to 153lbs, which is probably just water weight, but hey ho, its motivating all the same.

Found today a bit more difficult mid morning but i just divided my bar and that seemed to work.

Going to try and do another 40mins on the bike again once this shakes settled. Well keep you posted tomorrow, fingers crossed it all goes okay again.

Hope everyone else is getting on okay.

I'm now on day 3, feeling a bit peckish, but I'm not too bad.

Had a shake for brekkie and lunch, halved the bar again.

For dinner was rump steak, with cauli mash, mushrooms and broccoli and it was lovely.

I noticed that I'm a bit more thirsty, has anyone else noticed this?

Also did an hours brisk walk today as well. I'm not doing too bad.

If I can get through the weekend without a slip up, I'll be really chuffed.

Hope everyone else is doing well

Forgot to post yesterday, so heres how it went.

Breakfast - shake, went to the cinema and managed to resist the popcorn.

Also managed to do a couple of hours walking.

Had my bar for lunch.

Had salmon with stir fry veg for dinner with a shake for pudding.

Think I'm getting the hang of this.

Had another sneaky weigh in and I appear to have lost about 6lb, chuffed or what.

Managed to stay on track again today.

Haven't done much in terms of exercise, but sunday is a day of rest after all.

Had shakes and bars and homemade burger and veg for dinner.

If I can get to weds without a slip up, then thats week one out of the way.

I think I'm actually starting to enjoy this diet.

Hi there!

I started Exante and I'm on day 3. I did intend to do TS but I've found it really really difficult (light headed) and have had a WS day today. Will keep checking your diary!

How have you found the hunger?

Thenewmrsb.

Hi there, I'm finding the diet okay to stick to if you include a low carb of around 400 cals.

I'm on day 5 now and think I've lost around 6lbs, I think as well in the long run if I know how to have healthy, properly portioned meals now, then it's going to be a lot easier when I transition back to a healthy diet once I've reached my target weight.

Keep me posted on how you're getting on, as you started roughly the same time.

On day six of exante, had bar for breakfast, shake for lunch, pork fillet and low carb veggies for dinner and a shake to follow.

Ordered a sample of porridge to try, to add a bit of variety to breakfast time.

Going to do a bit of wii fit in a bit and get some exercise ticked off for today.

Also ordered the a Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd, reviews for this are great and it only cost me a fiver. Each workout is only 20mins, so I should be able to do it daily.

Anyhow, keep you posted.

On day 7 of exante.

Had the banana shake for breakfast, half a bar as a snack mid-morning, vanilla shake for lunch and the rest of the bar.
For dinner is chilli with cauliflower 'rice'.

Have already done roughly 50 mins of brisk walking to and from the train station today. And hopefully going to do 20 mins on the powerplate later.

Can't wait to get hold of that new fitness dvd so I can get stuck into that.

First proper weigh in tomorrow, so fingers crossed for a substantial loss.

Day 8 of Exante almost complete.

Had a bit of a weird one today, decided to buy a seven day celeb slim pack to mix it up a bit in terms of flavour. So had two shakes and a low carb meal for dinner, this consisted of lean pork chop, sautéd courgette, a grilled portabella mushroom, some salad leaves and a bit of extra light mayo.

Thought I might struggle a bit only having the two shakes, but was fine and dandy as it goes. I also had a couple of cans of Pepsi max today, but that's no biggie.

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lb in Week one, so I'm well pleased with that.

Got my Jillian Michaels DVD through today so did a 20min workout using that.

Also got my porridge sachet to try, that will be for breakfast on Fri for a bit of a change. If its nice then I may purchase the bumper pack from the Exante website.

Anyway that's me done for the day.

Hope you are all getting on okay with your weight loss journeys, I know I am firmly on track.

In a bit peeps.

Another day done.

Had a couple of the celeb slim shakes today instead of exante. But found yesterday that I only had 700 calls, so today I had a shake for breakfast, am omelette and some salad for lunch, which as it goes, I didn't finish (too full, that's never happened before!).

I was going to have the other shake in the afternoon but forgot, I then had chicken curry and cauliflower rice for dinner, which I only at half of, and I have had the other shake just, after a 20min stint of Jillian.

I always walk to and from the train station everyday, so even if I don't do any other exercise, I still get about an hours worth of brisk walking in when it's a weekday.

Had another cheeky weigh in again this morning and I am now 149.6lbs, which I'm really pleased about.

I feel like I can actually stick to this diet without it being too difficult, I'm finding that even if people have junk food around me that I'm not really interested in eating any. If I do fancy something sweet, then I opt for a Pepsi max or coke zero and that's my treat!

I really want to make sure I do this properly this time and when the maintenance phase comes round I am going to stick to that to the letter as well.

I found that I don't have bloating issues since I have been eating low carb, I also feel like I have tonnes more energy, I actually look forward to exercising when I return home from work.

Anyhow, gonna stop yarning on now, hope everyone else is tickety-boo

Another day down.

Had the porridge for breakfast, and I have to say it was lovely, so I might be investing in a bumper pack of those.

Had a bar then went to the pub for lunch, as we do at work every Friday, managed to stick to diet coke and not order any food, get me!

Had the banana shake when I got back and had an omelette and salad for tea. Got home from work late so didn't do any exercise, but will make up for that tomorrow.

Anyhow, that's me done.

Hope you are all doing well.
