    Being a serial yo-yo dieter, I'm trying 2 take a more healthy, positive approach 2 my eating habits & hope that slimming world can help me do this! As already said in my previous diary me & my partner r trying for out first baby :) so it's really important that I make a change now! My first weigh in at my new class will b 6th Jan my current weight is 13st 10lb so hoping 2 b no more than that by then! Even STS would do me with Christmas coming up! I'm pledging 2 b consistent in tracking everything as iv not bn keeping up 2 date with my previous dairy! As also said before I'll add pics where poss :) x

    We sound like we've been on a very similar journey. I joined ww when I was 17 with a start weight of 14 stone 2 lbs and then I've spent almost all of my twenties on some diet or another. It got to a point a couple of months ago when I realised I've spent an absolute fortune both emotionally and financially with this weight issue that enough was quite simply enough!!
    I got myself to sw and found a fab group and a fab leader and I'm now only half a stone from target and 1lb off losing 5 stone in total!!
    Slimming world can be difficult to get your head around when you first start because you just think of all the rules of other diets. Although the likes of pasta, rice etc are free, I haven't upped my portion sizes and don't think I ever will just because I can! I think slimming world is great to sustain a healthy lifestyle and with yourself and OH trying for a baby, it'll be a great example of healthy eating to use for the whole family.
    I also quit smoking earlier in the year - go us!!! X

    I am rejoining tomorrow night. I lost 3 1/2 stone 7 years ago on SW and Think I have put on 2 stone of that back on so pledging to get back on track. I will also be starting a diary too once a get going. Good luck in your journey. You have a great reason to stay motivated xxx

    That's amazing!! Truly well done! How long has that took you? I'm going 2 try really hard this time round not 2 put lots of pressure on myself 2 get 2 my goal by a certain date coz as I get closer 2 that date I always start panicking & that causes me 2 eat more! It's an endless cycle! Iv bn battling with myself wether 2 go back 2 herbalife or not because I have at least £200 worth of products in the house but iv decided I'm doing SW & sticking with it!! Iv also wasted so many years flitting between diff diets & at my heaviest got 2 16st 10lbs!! I'm 28 in June & enough really is enough! X

    Gd luck for ur weigh in 2nite! & well done for going bak. It takes courage for that first weigh in! My best friend goes 2 an amazing group so I'm starting with her in the 6th Jan. Going 2 b gutted if I'm anymore than 13st 10lb when I go but if I am ill jst have 2 deal with it & move on :) xxx

    Can I ask how many syns evry1 has per day/week? I'm jst not sure because I don't actually start my new class till 6th January! I thought itwas 15 per day but my friend says 10 per day? X

    Haha- dairy!! I didn't even notice!! How funny! It's taken me about 10 weeks to lose a stone this time round at slimming world. The last 7lbs is just killing me!!!
    I've been sooooo bad this week - my birth 'day' has turned into a birth 'week' - weigh in is tomorrow morning so time will tell! I'm hoping it's not too much of a gain!
    I used to have barely any syns and had a couple of weeks where I maintained so this next week I had ten syns every day and lost so I'd say aim for ten and then if you go slightly under/over the ten then it's still within the limits.

    Hahaha....is there no way of just editing the title?

    Re syns....when you go to group they say to have between 5 and 15...no less than 5 but no more than 15. However, they do say to try and stick around 10 for your first week. I do try to stick at around 10 all the time if I am honest BUT if I am having something that takes me over that, I am not overly bothered because if you need to, you are allowed 15 per day. You would still lose weight having 15 syns a day. x

    Yes! You need to go onto the food diaries thread and find your diary in the list. Then if you double click (not on the blue writing, but just anywhere in the "box" where the title of your thread is), it will open up a little text box where you can edit the thread name. You can do this with any threads you have started, at any time :)

    SW reccomends 5-15 syns a day, & most people tend to use around 10 :)

    Not had a great few days tbh :( having a hard time with a few woman at work, there's 24 of us & it's all woman! So u can imagine the *****ing that goes on & iv jst used that as excuse 2 over eat! 2day is a new day :)
