Hey everyone :)

Thought i'd pluck up the courage to start a thread and say hello to you all! I've been reading these forums for over a week now, and received some really great ideas and advice...and decided yesterday that I would join and start posting!

My name is Lottie and I have been yo yo dieting for as long as I can remember. I've always had a very bad relationship with food, I find it very hard to moderate myself with it. I tend to be a very all or nothing person, so if i'm not starving myself, i'm binge eating. I've always known that it's a very unhealthy mindset to be in but a week or so ago I decided that I had to make some permanent changes, so as not to cause myself problems in the long term.

I decided to join slimming world and have really enjoyed the plan so far. It was my first weigh in last night and a lost one pound. I can't believe that I have lost any weight with the amount i'm allowed to eat!

It's really fantastic to be able to moderate my eating, and be healthy, instead of being on a diet, or severely off a diet all the time. I am hoping to take the things that I have learnt at slimming world on board for life, and get out of the vicious circle of dieting I have been in for so long. I would like to lose about a stone, but plan on doing it very slowly instead of rushing to lose weight like I have done in the past.
