Toning with weights while on ss

Thanks. I'd read the sticky on exercise and it seemed to talk more about cardio exercise, which I've always differentiated from toning/muscle biulding. I'd heard that to much cardio would mean that the body would go after lean muscle mass and so was wondering if being on SS meant that you...

Toning with weights while on ss

Hi, I've just got a Xbox360 kinect and the fitness evolved 2012 software. I'm planning to do some of the light cardio and yoga, but would also like to try the toning exercises. It looks like these are best with light weights and I was wondering if it was appropriate to do this while on SS...

    Ss+ spice n hurbs

I'd be interested infinding out more about this. I'm afraid I'm a little heavy handed with herbs and spices and have been putting bucketloads of cajun, curry or italian spices on any SS+ meal I had. I've only had them this week, but my losses do seem to have slowed down. Might be a...

    Whatever happened to AAM week?

I've found that this week (5) my losses seem to have slowed, so I might give it a go. Like you say it doesn't seem to say not to do that. Seems like 1 area where officially cambridge is less strict now. Which is nice since coke zero has been outlawed during the same time!

    Whatever happened to AAM week?

Did Cambridge in 2007 and found the add a meal (AAM) week after every 4 weeks on SS really good for motivation. I think I can remember that at the time I was told that it kick started your metabolism to help your losses which is why it was there. If memory serves it was the same amount as a...

    Week 2 results

Congratulations. I found the 2nd week the hardest since I didn't have the initial 1st week motivation, so to stick to it and get a great loss is an achievement!

    Difference

I'm thinking about maybe having a 'sunday lunch' of ss+ so if its only a neglidgable difference I might give that a go. Not so much for me to be honest as it is for my other half so we can have a sit down meal once a week!

Another one here starting CD mon 27 100%

Hope you are all doing well. I was meant to start on the 29th Feb, but put this off until the 5th March since that weekend was an 'event' weekend that seemed like to big a temptation!

anyone use flabelos vibration plates??.. reviews??

Are any of the home ones any good? Back when I was into the gym I saw these and they looked good but everyone ended up staring at whoever was on them - probably since they were new, so only the fittest people seemed to go on them. I know the 'proper' ones are a couple, and the smaller home...

What to expect when stepping up..

Yep, my goal for cambridge is 25 BMI. My 'real' goal is lower than that, but I hope to get to 25 BMI and then lose the rest gradually with exercise and careful eating (maybe WW or SW since thats what my other half is doing). At the moment I'd be to self ocncious to go to the gym, sohoping to...

What to expect when stepping up..

I'm currently on SS and plan to be for a while, but I am wondering what I should expect loss wise when moving up the steps. I know the gradual step up helps with avoiding sudden water gains etc. But I'd like an idea what to expect so I can plan when to start stepping up. If I do the minimum...

    Coke Zero

I did cambridge a few years ago (lost 6.5stones over 4 months) and enjoyed the occasional can of coke zero. I understand that its now reccomended not to drink any of the 'zero' drinks. One thing that is a bit unclear to me is why. Does it impact your weight loss directly or does it just...

    Started today buddy up

Hi, I've just started today - want to loose at least 4 stone (maybe 6) but will reevaluate when I lose 4. I lost a lot a few years ago so I know the diet works if you stick at it!

One night of drinking - (and eating but mostly drinking to be honest)

I'm currently 3 weeks into SS and at the start of April I've got an unavoidable night out. (One of my colleagues of 10 years has been made redundant ans so is having a night out. Being blokes, something civilised is highly unlikely. ;-) Most likely beers and some sort of junkfood snack to...

intimiate question - not a wind up

I'm doing cd ss now and my partner is planning to start in the next couple of weeks. Since I'm ss I'm obviously watching what I eat and drink like a hawk and not having anything outside whats specified in the ss book. Without beating around the bush (maybe a bad choice of words), I'm wondering...

Coke Zero (and the like) not allowed now?

I did CD back in 2007 and you were allowed 1 or 2 cans of coke zero (or other zero drinks I think) after 2 weeks. Just started again and it looks like this is one of the things that has been changed - it seems its been banned. Is this true? Coke zero was my wee afternoon treat/snack...
