Why Are Thin People Not Fat?

I think the statement is correct. It seems plausible for people to have a biological disposition to be slimmer, but become obese when they're older, when you take the social factors into account. As children, most 30+ adults will probably have eaten healthier diets then today's children do and...

    Last two stone diary

Amazingly I didn't gain weight over Christmas. But I suppose it wouldn't have shown on the scales so soon. Anyway, after a very unhealthy new year's party (though suffice to say I did burn off a few calories shortly after midnight), I'm back to being healthy again. Now just to sort out that...

Subway have a whitelist on their napkins... problem is, they show the calorie content of the basic Sub with no addition of cheese (processed rubber in Subway anyway) or condiments. I always go for veggie delight (meat from Subway is not edible), the calorie content of the basic form of which is...

I'm back home now for Giftmas. Gonna be putting a lot of bad things into my body on the day, but not too bothered about it... it's one day a year, after all (well, two when you have a uni xmas and a home xmas). For the second year now, I'm doing the cooking on xmas day. I really enjoy cooking...

Will this diet plan work ?????

I was thinking of using the Chemical Diet to shift my last stone or so. Hows about we do it in January and all report back? (I'll do it after 7th... can't be on a special diet on my 21st birthday!)

Yay, finally, an all round good day! I got up at 8:00 (been up at like 11 all week), had a light breakfast including fruit then went to the gym. what do u have for breakfast?

Couldn't agree more with nexangelus... we too readily put 'good' and 'bad' labels on food as if nutrition is black and white. It isn't. When you find you've dug your way though half a jar of crunchy peanut butter, then it's problem. I believe Sainsburys do porridge oats with bran, so that they...

Not a good start: I spent all of yesterday ill in bed, throwing up for no discernable reason! Must have spent at least 36 hours in bed. This is the one!!

I don't understand why so many people try the fad diets before they try calorie counting. Calorie counting doesn't sell you crappy fad products and it enables you to eat a balanced diet where as some faddy ones completely remove certain food groups (how the hell that can be good for you I'll...

    Calorie Counting Question

If you want to lose weight, just calories is OK. Fat, obviously being stored energy, has lots of calories anyway, so you'll struggle to get much of it into your diet by calorie counting. Remember that animal fat is BAD BAD BAD. Oils contain less saturates and more mono and polyunsaturates...

    Strictness

I don't count at all, actually. I know for a fact that is not true. A case about that came before the House of Lords in 1986 (Gillick v West Norfolk and Wisbech AHA) and they ruled that doctors can give contraceptive advice to girls under 16.
