    Hello - Back again

Hello everyone. Managed to lose 4 stone previously by a variety of methods and got to 11st 6lb - shy of my in the 10's wish but comfortable for a 50's something (well - nearer 60 if I'm honest :-) woman). Illness and far too much red wine have seen me put on 26lb over the last 16 months. ITS...

    Week 2 and still happy...

Hi nic-noc Sorry about the delay in replying but I haven't been on here since last week. Yes I did go back on plan inbetween so over the week I was doing a mix of 100% and 2 meals and a meal out/party night. I didn't skip any meals though as I find if I feel hungry I grab the biscuit tin...

Interesting email from Exante - an update

I could have the soups 3 times a day as long as there were no tomato ones in there....:)

    Week 2 and still happy...

Have had a pre-christmas practice week :D - I pub meal (complete with wine), I meal at the local curry house (complete with wine..) and 2 get togethers/parties - with buffet food and more wine....and I've still lost 2.5lbs - how amazing is that:wow:. And just in case the extra lbs are lurking...

    Soups...

I bought one of those 'giant' cups and saucer - its great as you can mix up in it , and if you want to use a spoon theres plenty of room... One thing I invested in and have found found invaluable is a hand held blender. It wasn't expensive (£4.99 from a supermarket) and whizzes the soups and...

    1st weigh in since starting.

Sorry - should have said Cadbury Highlights. Don't usually buy these so a bit vague on the names. According to jar each serving (11g) contains 40cal and 4.6g carbs of which 3.1g is sugars. Don't know about effect on Ketosis, but for me its a treat outside the diet which I look forward to...

    1st weigh in since starting.

Weighed in yesterday after being on Exante for a week and have lost 4.5lbs. Am quite chuffed as I'd lost 5lbs in as many days through illness just before starting, so didn't expect to have a huge loss. Also haven't quite managed 100% yet - can't do without milk in coffee and (though I...

Not quite intending to start this way....

Well I've finally started... Meant to do this Monday but was struck down with some awful virus last Saturday and couldn't drag myself out of bed until Wednesday. Still, every cloud has a silver lining (so they say), and while I spent the early part of this week with my head stuck down the loo...

    bumper pack ordered this AM

Hi everyone Ordered my bumper pack this morning so if they don't ship over the weekend will be starting Exante Monday. Have cadged enough CD off a friend to see me through the weekend and obliterate any more excuses for a 'last supper' - have already had 3 this week...mexican, indian and good...

Back on here to succeed this time...

Thanks 16 to 10. I have tried Cambridge before so thats no 1 choice at the minute. The thing is - the Exante offer looks to be very good value. Decisions, decisions, decisions....Congrats bye the way on your excellent losses (and willpower...)

    Hello you

Hi Morbi I'm in the introductions for the same reason as yourself - not having been on since April 2009. just the fact that you have started CD again and are back on here shows that - though you may not realise it at the minute - the motivation is there. Well done for getting back on track...

Back on here to succeed this time...

Thanks Mini. Have just had a quick look on the Exante website where they are selling a bumper pack of 84 which works out at less than £1.20 per meal (not including postage - haven't found out what that is yet..) Do you think Exante is comparable to Cambridge in how 'full up' it makes you feel...

Back on here to succeed this time...

Hi everyone - I'll class myself as a newbie as its been 19 months since I've been on here and posted. Started Cambridge in March 2009 but devastating news for the family put paid to life as I knew it for a while. Anyway - here I am again, ready to tackle the weight problem once and for all -...

    Another newbie here....

Hi Angie I only started the diet on 4th March and despite having a diet/binge eating history have found it really easy to follow so far without being hungry at all. I only had one bad day (irritable and headachey) which was when I went into ketosis so I took a Nurofen and went to bed early -...

How is CD better than slim fast ?

Have tried SlimFast several times in the past but always gave up after the first couple of days because I felt awful and was absolutely starving. After years of yo-yo dieting and trying every slimming club and pill available I'm just coming up to my first week on CD and can honestly say I feel...

    SO......oooo cold!

Went out yesterday and bought a huge wrap-around furry dressing gown, much warmer than my towelling one, which I will wear whether dressed or in my PJ's around the house forever more....:D My son is helpless with laughter. Says it makes me look like a big cuddly Dulux dog .....ah bless! :)

    SO......oooo cold!

Hi Julie Thanks for the encouraging words. It didn't occur to me that it may be an indication of Ketosis - hope this is the case -if so can put up with being cold. Will have to get some of the sticks to test as I didn't think I'd got there yet, as no furry tongue and (not so sweet) breath...

    SO......oooo cold!

Saw my CDC last Wednesday and started on SS+ straightaway (first timer). Had a couple of days feeling a bit headachey and lethargic but woke up this morning (day 5) feeling really good BUT - I am really, really cold. Have stuck to the diet to the letter but have been freezing now for the last...

Hello from a soon to be Cambridge Dieter

:wavey: Hi, this is my first post here even though I've been lurking round the site for months now and I feel that I already know a lot of you. Well I've finally got the ball rolling. Went to see my Doctor yesterday, spoke to (a very nice) CD counsellor on the 'phone this morning and feeling...
