Has anyone else got ugly legs...

Can I join the horrible legs club as well? Mine are better I have to admit since losing weight but sadly I think I will always have cankles and hardly any space between my thighs. It's genetic & I need to come to terms with it lol. I think I would need to weigh around 7 stone to have skinny...

    HEXB flapjacks

I made these yesterday and they are lovely - I had to give some of them away as they are too more-ish for me to trust myself not to eat them all :D I made a little adjustment to the recipe, I left out one of the tbsp of oil and added a mashed banana instead as I like chewy flapjacks. Cut into...

    Childminder vs Nursery

Like you've identified there are pros and cons with each and I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference when you start visiting nurseries and meeting child minders. I also love mini milks (1.5 syns each) and Fruit Mentos chewy sweets (they sell them near the checkouts in our Morrisons). They are half a syn for...

    5'5 People..Whats your target?

I’m 5’5”. About 10 years ago when I did SW last I got down to 9 and a half stone and was happy there but I did think as I’m a bit older I’d cut myself some slack and not try to be quite so slim so I set my target for 10 stone. Now that I’m here I feel like I might as well try to get a bit lower...

    Very Sad Piglet

I know exactly how you feel - I've been hovering a pound above 10 stone for 5 weeks and eventually got there last night. It is horrible when you've been really good and don't see a result, especially when you're sat next to someone in class who has lost 2 pounds and says they don't know how as...

Egg Fried Rice with a twist

I love egg fried rice and it always stuck together until I read a tip from someone else on this site (sorry can't remember who) who said that the rice is best if you use it when it's cold & a bit dry. Make too much rice when you're doing dinner one night & keep some in the fridge to use the next...

I'd put on half a pound at last night's weigh in. Thought I might have a little gain or stay the same as I've been away visiting my parents & although I was a lot more good than bad I was a little bit bad :angeldevil: I've been back on plan for about 5 days and did a charity walk of 11.7 miles...

Hi Heather, I know I shouldn't be such a brat and I do feel humbled by the absolutely incredible journeys some people on here have been on, for a much much longer time than me. I had forgotten all about this recipe that my mum used to cook when I was a little girl. Originally it came from my auntie in Australia. Why Slimming World...?

I have to say that I chose SW above WW for two main reasons, the first being that I have a pretty large appetite and I wouldn't be able to cope with running out of food to eat. The second being that I know I wouldn't be bothered with all the weighing so I guess I am both greedy AND lazy...

have offended someone and really cannot understand how?

Lucky's right - you sound like a caring person so would know if you have done something that even possibly could have upset her. You need to try to talk to her, even if you don't get anywhere at least you won't be left wondering if you should have done something.
  107. Nut_Brown_Hare

will you all still love me?

Good luck Fern, our consultant always says to us that if nothing changes then nothing changes so you're probably right - it will give you a bit of a shake-up and a re-focus. It's certainly not going to do any harm and if you don't like it then getting back to SW after two weeks will seem like...

have offended someone and really cannot understand how?

Well, the only way to find out is to do what you've done and try to talk to her. Probably just some misunderstanding I bet. You would think she'd take the time to reply to your text as you were friendly. You may have to speak to her face to face which is something I'd find difficult - I'm no...

Hi Carole, the syn value on Green depends on how much chicken is used. I often do Green days and use chicken as a healthy extra B choice - you can have 113g (raw weight) which is about a chicken breast (although not a massive one!). Your coronation chicken could use the HEB of chicken if it...

My favourite is the Spice Sensation one which is half a syn per 100g cooked on EE or Green. The roasted...

    Homemade burger disasters - help!

I made burgers at the weekend and usually I use an egg to bind them but this time I tried some of the Nando BBQ marinade that Allie said about - it's not many syns and made the burgers stick together really well. I always chill them in the fridge for a while before I cook them too. Not sure if...

    upset :(

Glad you got it all sorted out, Gemma, although I know how you must feel about your stickers. I got my 1/2 stone last week and was so proud of it as it seemed so hard won. At least here you can admire them in your signature every time you post :). Let me know how Green goes - I've been doing...

    Tuesday Weighers

:wave_cry: lost half a pound, I know I shouldn't be disappointed as it's still a loss but it's so slowwwwwww it's going to take me forever at this rate. Congratulations to everyone who lost - some incredible losses this week - and a better week for those who gained.

What are your favourite and least favourite foods?

Mmm, favourite food has to be Wagamama Ginger Chicken Udon Noodles . I would eat that every day, and I mean every single day, for the rest of my life if I had enough money. My least favourite is cream - can't stand the stuff and really don't understand what there is to like about it...

    Keeping Track

Glad you decided on the chinese - that's one of the great things about SW there are so many things you can have that feel really naughty that you don't feel like you're missing out at all. Even my Alpen Light bars feel like they shouldn't be allowed & you can have 2 a day as a HEB! I am easily...

Hope you enjoyed your little boy's party, Smudger, bet your guests felt all the better for having an Extra Easy day with you :). SaraC, yes, it is to do with that book, I am soppy. I love it & read it to my little boy as often as he'll let me. Unfortunately he prefers The Gruffalo :rolleyes...

Green Days Wow! Just had the nicest lunch in a long time!

I was reading recipes on here last week and made loads of coleslaw this weekend - I love it with everything but especially baked potato. Baked sweet potato sounds even better. Thanks for the tip.

    upset :(

I do hope you get this sorted out - if that happenend to me I'd be gutted and would probably leave the group. Doesn't really give you that warm, welcoming feeling that going to SW should give you.

    What is your motivation??

I want to be able to wear all the clothes in my wardrobe that I haven't worn since before I got pregnant  I want to feel like me again and try to persuade myself I'm not getting old :sigh2: I want to feel sexy again for my hubbie instead of embarrassed :lilkiss:

Nut Brown Hare's Slimming World Food Diary

Feel like I've not stuck to the plan today as I have nibbled but I'm trying to make myself feel better by choosing to believe I haven't gone over my day's syns :(. Breakfast: Fruit, Total yogurt, 1 Alpen Light (half of HEB), honey 2 syns, yada, yada, yada... Snack: Apple Other Alpen Light...

Bank holiday weekend! Hurrah! I know what you mean - my hubbie is already getting a bit fed up of 'syns' and doesn't understand the fact I need to have different bread to him  Had a lovely day today as I don't work Fridays and hubbie had the day off, too. Took our little boy...

Nut Brown Hare's Slimming World Food Diary

Hi Smudger, You sound just like me - I got married in 2007 as well, had a baby in 2008 and now trying to lose those pounds again. We're even a similar weight & have a similar goal :D! I'll have to go & have a look at your diary for ideas (I am pretty boring foodwise). Yes, the chilli I...

Hello! I am new to Minimins but have been doing SW for about 6 weeks now & have lost 8lbs in total :D. This is going to be my diary, please feel free to comment & offer suggestions! I have done SW in the past but put weight back on when I had my little boy (now 2 so there's no excuse) and...

    light choice garlic bread

Hello, I buy this and I weighed the individual slices after I'd cooked it and based on the weight of them I allowed 6 syns for 2 slices so your 6.5 sounds pretty good to me. Luckily I don't like the end bits which probably weigh more ;) (Weighing individual slices of garlic bread does sound a...

Syn-free chips - mine look nothing like the pictures

I've given up trying to make the chips - I make potato wedges instead, start them off in the microwave then sprinkle black pepper & paprika on them and stick them in the oven. The chips in the magazine look far too perfect!
