Avoiding Cheese, Can I Beat My Personal Best?

Well done! Cheese is a problem. It's far too tasty! My other half HATES cheese. Which helps me avoid it (certainly in evening meals anyway!). Keep going! x

    PORK PIES IN MY FRIDGE

Ugh that's the worst - I've been trying to avoid some walkers crisps in the cupboard like the plague. You can do it! x

    I have achieved the unachievable.

The (laborious, time-consuming) trick is to smoosh all the lumps against the side of the cup and smear them around. Then stir. Then repeat about 500 times. It's *almost* worth it :P

    I have achieved the unachievable.

Now this is going to sound a bit far-fetched, but I swear, people, it's no word of a lie. I just made an ENTIRELY LUMP-FREE cup of Options Belgian Choc. Delicious, and surprising!

    Hi - I'm new

Oh and to you too, Wheelndeal.

    Hi - I'm new

Put the scales in a cupboard. It's what I have to do! I often go past that cupboard, however, and think "Oh just once won't hurt". Managed to stop myself so far! 5 weeks in, lost 11lbs, and hopefully a bit more at weigh-in on Saturday! Everyone here's really helpful. We're all in the same...

    DOES setting goals really help???

I think any massive journey like this is so personal, that while mini-goals might be perfect for one person, another just wouldn't react well to them. I also set myself mini goals, in my head though. I don't have any of them written down particularly. I think it's really important to set...

    FIRST ZUMBA SESSION TONIGHT!

Comforting to hear it's not just me (was very worried I was just too unfit/fat to do it!). It's zumba night tomorrow, and normally I eat with my little girl around 5, but might eat main meal at lunchtime, thanks for the tip :)

    FIRST ZUMBA SESSION TONIGHT!

Our instructor is amazing - a tiny little bullet of energy! She's portugese too, so she sings along to all the spanish lyrics. Def. looking forward to it a bit more for having talked about it on here!

    FIRST ZUMBA SESSION TONIGHT!

I *think* so. I had a great time actually there, but made a fatal mistake on the way home and bought a can of diet coke with cherry. Later on I developed a splitting headache and went to bed. I got woken up an hour later by my daughter, and the headache was unbelievable. I had to throw up...

    First totm since starting :(

Oh my goodness. I've been on propoints now for 4 weeks, and really felt different, like my relationship with food was changing. It's coming up to my first TOTM since starting and I'm REALLY hungry. I'm craving cheese on toast and chocolate. I've managed so far to avoid eating really...

    Sagging!

Jergens Naturals Firming skin cream is amazing. It smells delicious and fruity and is 97% natural ingredients. I've noticed my bingo wings and my tummy are already firming up. Plus it's on half price in most places atm! Good luck :) The French swear by splashing ice cold water on their...

    Sagging!

I'm making sure I do lots of toning exercises (although I'm not that far along in my weight loss journey), and using a skin firming cream daily. I'm noticing a difference already!

    Secret to shaping up

It sounds fantastic, definitely going to be researching this! I'm doing pilates most days at the moment, and cross trainer most days and zumba once a week. Trying to mix it up so I don't get bored! Weight in tomorrow!

Best way for me to lose weight?

It IS a constant struggle sometimes. And the rainy weather's such a prompt to eat starchy, comforting foods. We can all do it!

    Bad day:-(

Everyone has off days. I prefer not to think of them in terms of "good" or "bad" as it's so demotivating. You're doing well !). Mental illness and emotional changes (like TOTM etc) make it difficult to regulate things and to not give in to those cravings. Don't beat yourself up about it...

    vodka

I've only had a few drinks a couple of times since starting - but I definitely get the needing to eat when drunk/hungover thing. I've been having a mini fry-up the next day, which has worked brilliantly - 1 reduced fat sausage (2pp) 2 rashers of lean back bacon (2pp) 1tsp of oil for a fried egg...

1st Weigh In from being off WW for a while!

Any sort of low-impact exercise that uses all your muscles will def. help! If you're confident enough, swimming regularly will almost certainly make a big difference in your body tone. I am doing Pilates, which I find better for me (don't like chlorine!).

Yeah I'll admit to eating the odd one like that. DON'T EVER DUNK THEM.

    FIRST ZUMBA SESSION TONIGHT!

I'll be honest, I'm bricking it. Not done an hour of cardio for quite some time! I've been exercising every day (for 2.1/2 weeks), but so worried I'm going to be the only red-faced puffer in there :\ Wondered if anyone else has just started it and how they found it as a first timer? Liz

    Weight problems

Hi! I've been on WW propoints for nearly 3 weeks, and because it's got a weekly points allowance, I don't feel demotivated if I eat slightly more than my points. Whichever diet you choose, just make sure you stick to it as much as you can. It's really no big deal if you eat a doughnut. Of...

Can diet drinks make you fat?

I've been on propoints for 2 1/2 weeks now, and can honestly say that I've noticed bloating as a result of diet drinks. I've been trying to drink more water instead, but like Beverley8603 says, it is quite lovely to have a coke zero in the heat. Delicious. Bloaty :(

    MissTims joining a little late......

You've done amazingly already :) It's so hard to lose the last bit of weight, and although I don't have a magic wand, YOU clearly have lots of willpower, you just need to hold out a little longer! Good luck :) x

WW Propoints - New to minimins

Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself and get a feel for this forum lark. I'm doing propoints at home, (with a friend :)) but think it would be super helpful to share advice, tips and recipes here. So far I've lost 10lbs and feel absolutely resolved that this time will be the last...
