    CD Porridge & Hunger Levels?

    Just wanted to let you know that I have the same issue with the porridge....kind of like it (guess I'm a 'sit on the fence' kinda gal, rather than love it or hate it !!), but find I feel really hungry within no time after eating it ! Pity it doesn't fill me up like 'normal' porridge though...

    Advice from CDC's/CD Experts please

    You need 4 pints (2.25 litres) of water, then you can have coffee / tea in addition to this. Water is the best as it's calorie free & flushes out the burnt fat from ketosis....brilliant !!!

    will it affect my diet?

    You should be ok & stay in ketosis, as long as you don't have anything else.... Have you got any ketosis testing sticks ? Doing a test will put your mind at rest.

    I've made a huge mistake...

    I'm with you on the soups....they feel very grainy....kind of like there's very fine ground sand in them (!)....don't mind the taste of Chicken & Mushroom, but can't eat / drink them because of the grainyness ! My favourite shake is Choc Mint....scrummy !

    CDC's out there - advice?

    Which step you start on depends on what your starting BMI is....in order to start on SS your BMI will need to be 25 plus one stone (usually equates to around BMI 27). You will probably start on the 810kcal step, which incorporates a small amount of food along with the Cambridge diet meals...

    As you're nearing the point where you need to be on a 'with food' plan, (because your BMI is almost 27), that'll explain your Counsellors recommendation. You can't be on SS when your BMI gets down to 25, so you will need to be on the 810kcal plan by then. You will still lose weight on this...

    Yes, you can have them instead of the shakes / soups, but don't forget to drink an extra 1/2 pint of water for each ready mixed Tetra Brik you have ! They are only available in Chocolate or Banana at the moment, but a new flavour should be on the way soon.....
