Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

Half a pound loss for me today. When I lost 4lbs last week I said it didn't matter what I lost this week, but I was still hoping for a little bit more! Off on holiday now for 12 days so hope I don't do too much damage!

Extra Easy Having yr monthly make you heavier??

I've never had a gain on SW or WW due to TOTM, Although my losses are lower, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

    Whats for tea tonight?

Grilled chicken marinated in chilli, lemon and coriander, with spiced sweet potato wedges (from current SW mag) and mixed salad. Have learnt a valuable lesson, couldn't get ff creme fraiche for the dip to go with the wedges and thought low fat would be OK, but the dip has gone from 1 syn per...

    Not a happy Lushy!

I remember the first time I had Fish & Chips when I'd been doing WW for a while, it was gross! Felt so ill for ages!

    Best superfree for weight loss?

Lemons, melons and grapefruit working well for me :) If you have the food optimising book from group speed and superspeed foods are indicated.

    Meal sharing.

That's a shame, I rely on soup, I have it even when it's summer! Have you tried the tomato superspeed soup? 1 can of toms, 1 can of baked beans, 1 can of carrots, stock cube and a pickled onion (I'm sure that's everything). Blitz with a blender and then heat and season to taste.

    Meal sharing.

I would certainly swap with you! The pasta sounds yum!

    EE 1st week & a maintain!

I would stick with it for another week also. The only comment I'd make is that you don't seem to have had any superfree with your breakfast on days 2 and 3 and maybe you could try something different for your HEb than bread. Good luck for this week.
  11. B

    Meal sharing.

This is a great idea, glad to hear it's working in your group. I've often thought about when it comes to soup which would be quite easy to share, but I worry that no one would like my soup!!! Also we have a dog and I'd be horrified if a hair turned up in their portion (I do keep my kitchen very...

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

I originally thought I'd go for 10.12 as my target (got to 10.13 on WW) but I'm now thinking about 10.10 on the same premise that 3lb up would still keep me under the 11 stone mark.

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

I thought I'd get SOTW with my loss, but was beaten by a guy who had lost 6lbs in his second week. Previous week SOTW won with a 2lb loss!

Not sure if its helped but thought id share :)

So I lost 4lbs at WI last night :D. I've had reasonable losses previous so may not all be down to the lemons, but thanks to the OP :D for the suggestion. I would think I've had about 10 or so over the last week. I'm going to make lemonade today to enjoy in this lovely weather.

evening weighers - what do you eat on WI day

I have a normal breakfast and lunch plus mid morning and afternoon snacks (fruit). Last couple of weeks I had a mugshot about 5pm (my WI is at 7.30pm, but the meeting doesn't finish til 9pm so have a light bite when I get home). What I don't intend to do tomorrow (WI day) is have 2 large glasses...

Which plan do you find the best?

I feel a bit in the dark about green and red days. My consultant has only ever explained EE so have stuck to that (although I had figured out I was having a green day once and so had some extra cheese!) I guess you would have to do a whole week on green and then a whole week on red to work out...

    Giving SW a go.....;)

I WI on Tuesdays so don't have much time for salvaging weekend mistakes either, but that actually helps me keep in check more :) Good luck with the plan and free-ing yourself from counting.
  19. B

Has anyone give up exercise in favour of just doing SW?

If you've managed to incorporate exercise into your lifestyle I would think very hard before giving it up. Apart from a daily energetic dog walk I don't manage much more but wish I could. I think trying a different SW plan might be the way to go, or perhaps try 50/50 for a week - eat 50%...

superspeed extra easy recipes wanted please

I've just made this but as I'm not huge on beaked beans I used cannellini instead and a jar of passata. Also didn't have any pickled onions so caramelised some onions in balsamic vinegar first. Not bad!

    New to SW

Thank you, am very excited:) holiday clothes are proving a problem though as I'm in between sizes. Have two pairs of shorts that fit so think I'll be alternating between the 2 for the duration!

    New to SW

I am losing weight slower on SW than I did with WW and to start with was a bit disheartened as I didn't see the big losses that I thought I would get, but I've gotten over that now and am steadily working towards my target. 2lb a week is brilliant, that's the recommended average - think of...

Puddings Ice-cream Machine and Ice-cream Update

Well it arrived today, put the bowl straight in the freezer and got some Onken strawberry fat free yoghurt whilst shopping. Took 20 mins to churn and hey presto. My girls weren't too keen, but that's fine more for me! I've only had a small taste for now, going to have some with fresh...

    Success Express

Spoke to my consultant last night and the only thing she's now confused me about is that she said I couldn't have ham, as an example, as a snack even if it's synned. So I asked when I would actually eat my syns (the meal being 2/3 superfree, 1/3 free), and she shrugged said that's a good point...

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

1lb off for me. I know it's a loss but I am disappointed, I've been 100% on plan (even syned some crisps I took off DD!) averaged about 7.5 syns per day, lots of water and I dog walk every day. Hopefully it will show up next week.

Extra Easy My 1st day of sw on extra easy...

OK, so I was being slightly tongue in cheek there, but of course it hasn't come across like that and I'm sorry if it was misleading. I actually weigh the carbs I have with my meals (rice and pasta) and never have more than 60 - 75g, the recommended weight on the packet.
  38. B

    Success Express

Thanks for the link, going to ask my consultant about this tonight. Go on holiday in 2 weeks and would really like to lose 5lbs before then and think this might be the answer.

A soboring thought for the day!

Can I say that I agree for some people, but not for me personally. That's not how my motivation works. I've missed one wi since I joined SW, it was the week after Easter and I knew that I had put on weight. A recorded gain on my chart completely demotivates me, I know this from experience. I...

    Superfree Rogan Josh

I use a tspn of cornflour - 1 syn I think. Put it in a bowl with a little bit of your cooking juices, mix to a paste and then pour in. Something else I do is take the lid off the slow cooker for the last 30 mins or so, this seems to help evaporate some liquid. HTH

    From WW to SW

Hi Annie In principal it should be easy to maintain on WW, you just up your daily points allowance. However I found that after awhile I got fed up with point counting, I wanted to stop having to think about food all the time and just lost control a bit. To put it into perspective I lost 3.5st...

But don't all those steps count towards exercise ! I weigh almost very time I go to the loo also! I am a serial weighed. My consultant tells me off, but so far it's not held me back from my weight loss
  55. B

    Joes sausages

I had the chilli and garlic which I thought we're OK (can't say they're lovely compared to full fat ones :)!) I also had the chipolatas which I didn't like at all. They work really well in a casserole, did mine in the slow cooker with toms and veg. Also great with lots of syn free onion gravy...

Welcome to Newbies 2013 - Say Hello here!!!

Hello there, I'm new to SW (converted from WW). Am in to my 6th week and I have to say it's a bit slow (Easter and May Day BH not helping!!) although I have lost 8.5lbs so reasonably happy with that. Am hoping to shift a bit more before a big holiday to Florida in less than 4 weeks, and then...
