02/01/15 Starters! Whoes with me????? :)

Smidge and Isis you are doing great. I'm a bit cheesed off though because when I did a midweek weigh on Friday I was 3lb down on my official weds weigh in. But after my gammon and eggs I was 3lb heavier this morning! I know it can only be water as still ate less then 1000 cals yesterday, but disheartening all the same. Will keep off the scales now until weds and hope it has shifted. Smidge - 3lb is great for week 2!

I think we would all feel the same. Water gain is still annoying! We needs a scales that can say you weight x amount and this amount of it is annoying water weight lol xxx

Fingers crossed it's gone by Wednesday. Keeping hydrated should help xxxx
 
Ooh now there's an idea for a new product... Scales that say your total weight then break it down into how much is muscle, fat, water and bones!! Then you can concentrate and getting the fat down and the muscle up! Dragons Den here we come!!

Off to the cinema tonight to see Boyhood. No cinema treats for me - but might have a coke zero for a treat!

I mean like when we gain water weight overnight.....if it could tell us if it is water that has been gained, and how much it is lol
 
I can weigh at night and I'm heavier and the scales go from 44% water in the morning to 53% at night. Makes me feel better seeing it's the water that's made me heavy :)

Definitely!!! Water is a natural thing and can be rectified. Fat is a lot more disheartening!

I have these scales but don't understand them. Which part says what is fat and what is water? X
 
I've got some like that but it's been ages since I've used the water/muscle bit. I just hop on and get tho weight and deal with it (albeit sometimes badly lol) ;)

Hope everyone has had a good eve? I ended up avoiding a spaghetti dinner at my mum's but eating one and a half chicken thighs when I got in! Woops! Try again tomorrow lol...
 
The water %has next to it and %of fat says F then does your BMI and weight :)

Ooh Sara might have to treat myself to those! I've got a set of digital scales that must be around 20 years old!! Time for a new pair I think. Seeing what % is water would definitely help with those sudden gains when I know I've not eaten anything to cause it.

Told myself not to, but had a weigh this morning and 2lb lighter than last weigh in, looks like it will be a small 2nd week but still in the right direction. Official weigh day tomorrow.

Smidge - That's a fab second week loss :) Well done!

Sparkley - Yep, definitely water weight from the salt in the gammon. I absolutely hate week 2 on a diet. Hopefully you'll get a good loss though come weigh day, and if not, well, it'll be there the week after as your body has to catch up at some point :) Keep going :)

Still on track here, but went to bed last night deciding that in the morning I would defrost some smoked salmon that's been in the freezer since Christmas, and would eat that. Come this morning, I didn't. I had a sausage pack (which I enjoyed a lot more than the first time I tried it), and that's been it so far today. Having my first pack too early though (it was about 8.30 am and I normally wait until 2pm) means I'm now hungry and craving, but holding out. School run now anyhow. Will have green tea when I get back and see how long I can last as I know I'm going to need those last packs later this evening as that's my super dangerous time for not staying 100%. PMT cravings not helping I am sure. Am about a day late, so I know it'll be here any moment! Wish it would hurry up!
 
Hi all. Really struggling to drink enough water as it's really chilly in my office. Usually drink coffee by the bucketful but after being dehydrated last week am trying to be good. Do you reckon peppermint tea is as good as water? My fingers are crossed
 
I brought the exante water flavouring in crushed raspberry that's nice cold and hot. I drink gallons of black coffee too! I down a pint of water when I get up and before bed:)

PMT is bad enough when you're not on a diet so I don't envy you there! I'm really irregular but a couple of weeks into a diet the shake up usually gets my body working properly so I'm just waiting now..

I'd say so :) good if you can drink some water though just as it's really good for you
