what keeps you doing this ?
for me.
I turn 50 in may ( I am a very young 50 )
I want to look and feel the best I can.
thats what keeping me 100%
what about you ?
Day 9 , almost 10% of my goal

I'm on day 6 so right at the beginning of my journey!
Ive been overweight all my life (I'm 36) spent my life being the butt of jokes and nasty comments, I want to hold my head up and be normal like everyone else!
I want to be a yummy mummy by the time my little girl goes to playgroup.
And most of all I want to start living! Not be hindered by my weight stopping me doing things.
I can't wait for that day!

im on week 4 26lbs lighter and already feeling the difference, can wait until i drop another stone :) then I might be able to start sorting out my closet. I want an extreme makerover and to look fab :)

For me its the being 100% that is motivating me. I'm now on day 133 of being 100% and have lost over 6 stone..and have about 2 1/2 to go. For the first time in decades I can actually see the end goal. And like you anon slimmer I will be 100% until goal

I turn 40 this year! I want to be in top form. Been overweight all my life, but for once I'm in control of what I put in my mouth! The journey hasn't been easy though. I started CD September 2009 and was 100% until XMAS. 2010 was a hard year for me because I was just enjoying my new look, my goal was to get below 200lbs, but I had so many restarts it was depressing. 2011 is THE year for me.

I re-started in January, but I think it wasn't the time... January 24 was my last weigh-in and I told my cdc I was going to give it my all for 21 days (until I saw her next). I don't know, maybe setting such a short time frame really did it for me? Anyway, have been 100% since..

I had planned an optional day off after 21 days, however, I am feeling so good, I think I'll skip it! I'm finally back in business, I really need to focus on the finish line, not some short-term satisfaction that may be my demise. My aim is to be 100% at least til mid-March, I'll reassess once I get there

Hi ESK140/Susan

Thank you for "inviting" me to join the 100 % for 100 days group and I am happy to do so.

I am 48 years young so like you:D and I want to feel my best and for once be slim for summer. I have been overweight from the age of 16 and have yo-yoed in weight.
I have been 10 stones and I did look hot and that was doing CD 100 % but foolish person I was I thought once there I could do what I liked - big mistake!
Still I have learned my lesson and am committed besides I do have a holiday in June/July and I just want to be comfortable and body happy for a change.
Day 5 SS 100 % for me.:)

Setas you are a STAR and congrats on your great weightloss may I follow in your footsteps:)

Thanks Lulee,

It only seems like yesterday I was sitting here looking at all these inspirational ladies thinking I wish that could be me!

Have to say its lovely to be chatting with some other 100%ers. Agree with you there Anon. Its an awesome diet - if you stick to it!!

Claire 2 stone gone in 4 weeks - what a great start - stick with it!

Enlightenme - good luck - Don't break on day 21 if you can avoid it - t for me a large art of the motivation is knowing I have been 100% if that makes sense. We've got about the same to lose - lets keep each other going! I'm expecting my losses to start to tail off soon just because they can't keep going at the rate they are as I get closer to goal. It will be lovely to have someone to share it with.

I am another who's had the yo yo symdrum - managed 121 days 100% about four years ago, but didn't lose all my weight. Now on day 8 and this time and heavier than when I finished last, but I am determined. Even joined the gym.

Hello everyone! I'm just going into week 5 and I've lost 20lbs and 12 inches, so am pleased! I ve promised myself 100% commitment at least until day 100 when I should be near my goal. Lost 7 stone last time in 6 months and was 100% then.

Only (i say only) put 4 stone back on by being careless and not monitoring self. What's the point in torturing myself with cheating? I know where I want to be, where I'm going to be so bring it on! Am considering a gym but feel too lazy- baby steps though..
Keep the faith everyone xx

Deal!! I can handle this and so far, I see you've got a handle on this pretty good! Well, I don't know if it's the numerous restarts, but I've def slowed down on the weightloss, it has dimmed my determination NOT one bit however! So yes, let's keep each other company to goal, it would be lovely

Hello I have (almost) come to the end of day 33 where I have been
100%.

Today is the first day I've been hungry enough to consider cheating. But it is my 100% record so far that is keeping me motivated!!

Well done everyone. Good luck for tomorrow!

Hi there

Congratulations on your shrinkage!

I did more or less the same as you lost alot and put some back on.
I too am thinking of joining the gym once I have lost about 2 and half stones of my 4 stones I need to lose. Last time I lost lots of weight with CD SS 100% I did and lost the weight super quick and felt healthier/fitter too by doing a combination of weights and aerobic type exercise.

Just back from my second trip to the gym - went to the steam room and jacuzzi wrapped up in a big towel and I was surprised to see a couple of people who were around the same size as me. I felt I was bulging (no, lets be honest - I WAS bulging) out of my swimsuit, so I'm not really to let the towel go just yet :) however nobody else seemed to be bothering.

When this happens to me I just go to bed and put my head under the covers hope that helps......it happens to all of us

This all about how to de-stress quickly - YES it's possible. Try these 5 techniques to get fast results!!

1. 4/7 Breathing
This is probably the simplest yet one of the most effective stress-reduction techniques.
When you feel stressed or overwhelmed, take a breath in for the count of 4 and then breather out to the count of 7. Repeat this 5 times and notice how much better you feel. Breathing for a longer period of time on the out breath helps to calm the mind.

2. Soften Your Gaze
When you're stressed, your focus of attention becomes extremely narrow. You could be walking down a street and literally notice nothing around you. Try this quick trick.
Look slightly upward, then while continuing to look forward, soften your gaze so that you start to notice whatever is in the periphery of your vision- this de-focusing instantly de-stresses your body and mind.

3. Use a Meditation Trick
When you feel panic and stress rising, stop and notice the feelings and thoughts. Realise the stress you experience is in your own mind; it's in you and not coming from someone or somewhere else, therefore YOU can resolve it. Observe the thoughts and acknowledge them as simply stressed feelings then let them go.

4. Smell Yourself Calm
Sniff Lavender essence or spritz the room for instant calm. This aromatherapy oil is known for its stress-relieving properties and can boost mental clarity.Rose, cardamom, ylang ylang and ginger oils can also hep you to relax and feel less anxious.

5. Write Yourself Positive

Take five minutes to write down all the things in your life that you're grateful for or whatever is going well for you. It could be even small things, such as making time for the gym last night, that its nice and warm inside your apartment or the yummy food you had at lunchtime. Refocusing on the positive can help you feel instantly happier and better able to cope.

For me, I have done the Cambridge diet more than once. Lost most of the weight, gained it back and then some. I want to make this the last time. I'm 30, not in a relationship, don't have children and live like a hermit because I feel so self-conscious and embarassed about how I look. My boyfriend recently dumped me (it wasn't a great relationship) and yet I found myself clawing to get back there as I felt as though no one else would love me because of how I looked even though he didn't either-so I thought it's time to sort my life out...I want to be able to live well, to enjoy life, socialise more, find activities I might want to do, to travel abroad without feeling self-conscious, to learn how to drive, to meet a nice man, settle down, to get married wearing a kick ass dress-one in the eye for all those that criticised my weight and thought I'd never be able to do it. I've got nothing to lose really. I have to change the way that I use food and find another outlet for when I feel happy, sad, stressed if I want to live a long life. I wouldn't be able to lose the amount of weight I need to in such a short amount of time without Cambridge. It works and if I can't get through it this time i've decided on gastric surgery but really I want to do it and feel proud that I have done it, for me, all by myself because i really do feel after years of feeling miserable and unhappy in my own skin, that I deserve it. And in a years time, I will have achieved it-it would take double the amount of time with more conventional diets and whilst slow and steady is probably the best way to do it, for someone with the amount of weight i've got to lose I would become disheartened and frustrated at the slow weight loss and would be likely to give up but I don't think I will with Cambridge. In some respects it is the easiest diet in the world as you don't have to think about it and in other ways it's the hardest but it's going to get me to where I want to be which is the main thing.
