Mornin' Teamies - me again,
I've done my 30 mins walk with the dog & took a coffee with me in an insulated cup. Really enjoyed it, but it wasn't exactly brisk walking as she likes to sniff about a lot (my neighbour calls it checking her wee-mails!)
Had a pint of water & am going to tidy up a bit before I do my steps & have my breakfast shake. I've also decided to try for 10 minutes of random activity per day. (I've borrowed one of those eliptical strider thingies and may try to do a bit on that, but I was thinking that one of the hardest times for me at the weekend is when OH & boys are eating. So- I might go upstairs, put on a CD & do 10 minutes crazy dancing whilst there's no-one to see me.)
I think exercise is going to be a big thing in maintaining (and in shifting the lbs before I get that far.) My OH has a cousin who has dropped around 8/9 dress sizes over the space of a year or so through cutting down on food and jumping on a stepper every night in front of the telly. She looks incredible, so I'm going to take a leaf out of her book & try to build in bits of activity where I can.
Have woken up today feeling much more positive. I was reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar with my boys last night & when we got to Saturday & he eats one ice cream , one slice of cheese , etc etc etc, I thought 'This is me!' Except I haven't turned into a butterfly at the end - my cocoon has just been getting bigger & bigger.
So - the happy ending starts today. xxx
