Step 1 Sole Source + 3 weeks in and 20lb gone!!

Hi nazz! That is so tough that you don't like the shakes! I read somewhere that someone just adds a bit of water and eats them with a spoon that way they are still getting the vitamins they need but not in a big shake?

I only have the chocolate shakes now twice a day and a cereal bar for breakfast. I hated the soup and porridge but some people love them.

Just made a Lancashire hotpot for everyone's tea and it doesn't interest me at all. Really can't believe the hunger has just gone!

Well done on reaching day 4!! I think from day 5 I started to feel in the swing of it and you will be so encouraged by your first weigh in.

Butterfly u love amazing already.. Wow.. All my weight is down my bottom and thighs n hips i have the tinyst waist, i just want to fot into dresses and jeans without everythin sticking out feel so uncomfortable in clothes..

I dont mind the choc mint one i like it hot aswell but the other shakes i jus gulp them down n try not to taste it, the taste i get in my mouth afterwards is awful. Is the weight loss the same with the bars dyu think? X
 
Thanks nazz!! I remember struggling a bit with the shakes the first week as all I could taste was the vitamins in them. Tasted horrible. I don't mind them now.

My first week I lost 10lbs on just shakes and my second week I also lost 10lbs but with a bar a day for breakfast. Some people says the bars make them hungry but I haven't found that at all. It's just easy to grab one on the way to work or when taking the boys to school. I love the peanut ones and cranberry ones. The others are too chewy and make my jaw hurt!!

Going out with my husband tonight as we have a babysitter! Would really love to go for a meal as we rarely get chance to do things like that. Have opted for the cinema instead but might lay off the water - don't want to run to the loo every 5 minutes!!

Hey hun, i did the same last night went pictures watched taken 2 was really gud but no meal which was a first but im happy that i didnt, once iv lost all the weight will defo have a nice meal so going to wait.. I hope i get used to them and maybe will look into buying bars later.. Have a lovely evening xx
 
Hey nazz! How has your day been - hope you are surviving the dreaded weekend!

We watched taken 2 last night as well - really enjoyed it! Just ordered a black coffee to sip whilst in there!

Just made the boys tea and I found it so difficult for some reason - must be having a weak moment. I had to stop myself from throwing my face into a plate of grated cheese! I think psychologically Saturdays mess me up a bit - rest of the week I am fine!

Oh well - chocolate shake and X factor tonight!!

I got the same plain back coffee while i aas watching the film and my mini ither half was munchin crisps lol.. Hate the weekend feel like eating coz everyone is around eating.. Aww i love cheese lol be strong hun ur doin so well xx

Ur doin great butterfly, keep at it n ul be at ur goal in no time.. I had sum spinach and prawns today for lunch but no oil.. Finding that im getting more and more peckish.. But i think tomorrow i will do strict SS. I change everyday and do rith ss or ss+ which i find helps me stick to the plan and as long as i am not eating things i shudnt im happy.. Getting weighed thursday cant wait to see the results of one week on this.. Hope ur well x
 
Thank you both so much! I know the photos aren't very dramatic yet but I just wanted to keep a weekly record of the gradual changes.

Good to hear from you Nazz and hope you are doing well. Glad you are managing to eat some bits but I know what you feel about being peckish! My friend is coming round tonight to watch the final of the bake off so I called off after work to buy her a cake whilst watching it! I then started feeling a bit blue thinking of all the things I am missing out on and then I started panicking about Christmas and all the temptation around!!

My new favourite thing is the cambridge water flavouring - it is my nightly treat! I have ice cold sparkling water with fruit flavouring - it tastes like fizzy vimto! I also make hot black currant drinks with it when I am feeling the cold!!

It's my weigh in on Thursday too - it's so exciting it! I am also nervous at the same time as my past weight losses have been good which motivates me but don't know how I will react if I get a bad one!!

Fingers crossed it will be a good day for both of us! Are you starting to feel different now the weight is going? X

My weigh in was supposed to be Thursday as well but my consultant had to re-arrange for Friday so fingers crossed for this morning!!

Thanks butterfly let me knw how u get on.. Im really worried because tomorrow im going to london for 7 days and all my family are getting together so i have told my consultant i will be eating some days so we have scheduled a 'planned break' and the days were i can sneak my shakes in i will do 100%ss but if i put on or sts i will be ok coz i know why but i defo do not want to forget about this after i come bacn and hopefully comeing back on here will keep me motivated to lose it and stick to it xx
 
Hate it wen life gets in the way lol.. My extended family will think im crazy hense why i wont be having shakes infront of them and il hav to sit rwnd and eat with them but i will watch my carbs n try to stick to protien x
 
Hi Nazz! I know it will be a tough 7 days for you but you will do it!! Just don't blow a full day if you know you are having a meal later that day. Do you have any bars to take with you? I would probably have a bar for breakfast and then at least one meal out of three that day was still cambridge!

If you are eating out just be sensible and don't eat loads of carbs. Indian food is the best to have apparently as you can just have chicken tikka pieces. Chinese is the worst for this diet according to my consultant as everything is packed with carbs. If you are going to an Italian then opt for chicken Caesar salad which is what my consultant always had - just leave the croutons.

I am sure you will make sensible choices its just so hard when these events crop up! Just wish I could cancel all social events for the next 6 months! You will get back on it when you return as I will be nagging you! Just remember how good you felt when you stepped on the scales yesterday.

When we have lost this weight we have to go back to living in the normal world so treat this week away as what your life will be like when you have reached the end of your journey. Have a treat but don't do it every day. You can do this!!!

I had my weigh in this morning and lost 7.5lbs. That is a total of 27.5lbs in 4 weeks. Really pleased with that. I think having a weigh in every two weeks is working well for me as I might have been disheartened seeing a loss of 2-3lb but 7.5lb seems brill!

I have a night out tomorrow with my husband and our friends. This will be the first time I have had an alcoholic drink since starting this diet. We are also going for a meal - aargh!

I will have something small to eat before I go out so I don't feel the effects after one drink! I will alternate each drink with water and try and make good food choices. Part of me doesn't want to go but like I said before, in the real world I will be socialising so I have to face it!

Enjoy your break away and stay positive - you will achieve your goal! Xx
