4 Stone to Lose

Hi All,

I weighed in today and I have gained so much weight, I now weigh in at 16 stone 13lb :mad:

Which means I need to lose 4 stone (56lb) to get back to my goal weight :cry:I was wondering if this is possible on SF or have I completly picked the wrong option.

I would love to hear all your thoughts on this.

I lost all my weight with weight watchers but am finding the counting of points and weighing and tracking a major inconvinence.
Do you not think I will achieve the results with SF?

Ive never really looked at SF if im honest, just thought id chip in haha! sorry! Wouldnt you rather eat proper food instead of shakes/meal replacements? Or do you get to eat food as well? Im clueless!
Also, how much weight did you manage to lose on weight watchers? :)xx

I lost 8.5 stone on the old weight watchers plan, i was well sucessful but then over time, things got a bit crazy and I ended up gaining the weight I lost.

I really dont know what to do.

Hi Davey I am new to this site and the slim fast plan. I have following the diet for two weeks now and have lost 6 pounds! Like yourself I have 4 stone to lose. Starting weight 14.4 Goal weight 10 stone. I have previously tried slimming world and weight watchers and so far find the slim fast plan easier to fit into my lifestyle as it is so convenient and tastes ok too! I do eat weight watchers ready meals and snacks so I don't have to cound calories and enjoy some foods without feeling guilty.

The plan involves 2 shakes/Meal bar per day and one 'balanced meal' plus 3 100 calories snacks a day. For men I think you are allowed and few extra calories (not sure how much). Good luck with whatever you go for :)

Yes I do believe you can lose 4 stone on it (that is why I am doing it :)) I think if you stick to it then there is no reason not to. I know some people get bored of the shakes and bars but it is a calorie restricted diet. If you keep within the recommended limit the weight will drop. Do you think you would get bored of the shakes/meal bars? I fell like I have found the diet for me as it fits in with my lifestyle and finances as well as keeping me full. I don't have a sweet tooth but if you do then the meal bars/ shakes will definitely curb the cravings also. :)

I really don't think I will get bored of them, ad there is a variety of different flavours.

I agree I definately think this is a plan that fits into my lifestyle and also ny finances.

I really should be eating fruit and yoghurt but I'll be honest (The following snacks are all around 100 cals)

Weight watchers cookies
Mullar rice
Skips
Quavers
Rocky caramel bars
Wotsits
Jammie Dodgers lunch packs (88 calories for packs of 4 mini JD's)
Any cup a soup (Ainsley Harriot, Slim a soup, generic soups)
Starbucks skinny latte
Solero Ice cream lollies
Skinny cow Icecream lollies
Vodka and sugar Free redbull

Can't think of anymore as of yet but I do plan to eventually be healthier but at the moment just glad the weight is starting to come off :)

I've been doing SF and calorie counting since October -( I like not having to worry about what I'm going to have for lunch or breakfast!) and it seems to be working so far...

I've lost nearly two stone on sf so it can be done re started last sat to lose final stone and a half so we can follow each other good luck

Ahh thats so much weight, well done for that. :) After reading what people have replied to you im starting to thing SF might suit me better as well, I just havent really thought about it before. Think im going to have to look in to it :) x

i started ww in february but as i have 5st to lose in all i was finding it so disheartening that it would take soooo long to lose it all on ww id be on a diet for years! ive decided after a few months on ww and not losing major amounts to do SF till my birthday in august then from then im doing calorie counting i find the new WW plan very inconvienient like yourself all that tracking and points! it burns my brain! its much harder to cheat on SF i think too!!!
good luck on SF ive already lost 3lb in 3days which took me about 3 weeks on WW!!!

Welcome to Slim Fast Davey! I think it's definitely possible to lose 4st with SF, if you stick with it long enough :) I've lost 6lbs in 4 weeks, so it's going slow but steady for me, but I'm not in a rush. I've got 6-7st to lose, so it'll take me a long time. Well done for losing 8.5st so far, that's incredible! And good luck with the last 4st too :)

I feel the same hun, managed to lost almost 2 stone on slimming world.. but my losses have slowed right down and I just feel like it gives me 'too much' freedom... if that makes sense?

On slim fast I do feel hungry.. but I think that works for me. Because I *can* eat so much food on slimming world, if I'm not feeling full I'm looking to eat!

Hi, am a newbie and have 4 stone to lose also.....

Hi, I have recently started Slim fast after being absolutely disgusted that my weight ballooned to 14.5 stone !!!

This I feel is has been due to a combination of studying for a degree recently (and spending hours snacking and sitting on my bum) and giving up smoking 2 years ago. I also work lots of nights and tend to graze all night.

I have recently book an expensive 2 week holiday and finally said enough is enough.

I do alternate between SlimFast and Tesco Ultraslim which I find the same, I just go for whatever is on offer. I also find using a Slimfast or other beaker and shaking with ice makes it more bearable.

I have been trying to play badminton at least 3 times a week as I really believe in the benefits of exercise.

I am trying to do an exercise DVD at home twice a week so I am burning fat at least 5 times a week.

Anyway - have only been on the diet for just over a week and have lost 7lbs !!!

so am now exactly 14 stone

my plan is for the next 10 weeks to lose 28lbs ( 2.8lbs a week)

This will take me to 12 stone........

My plan then for the next 10 weeks is to lose another 28lbs - this will then bring me to the magical 10 stone for my big birthday in the Autumn.


I hope I do it, with me I have to have goal and have to see results or I get downhearted.

Congratz for yr first wk 7lbs is amazing!! I am jealous I only been loosing 1-2lbs a wk so ur doing brilliant x
