4lbs loss....so disheartened...inspiration please?

Hi all

Well I have been back on CD for a week and a half now (i gave myself a 3 day head start from left over packs) and today i had my first weigh in.

I did not cheat all week, and only lost 4lbs.:cry:

My weight was 11 stone 5.5 and i am now 11 stone 1.5.

When I was weighed i felt so disheartened, because i was expecting to lose a bit more. ITS SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Ha, at first when she weighed me it only showed 2lbs! I demanded something wasnt right and so i did it again, and it showed 11 stone 1.

I want to be 10 stone 3/4, i hope it doesnt take too long?

I think the following may be factors that stopped weight loss - am i right?

  • about 5 cans of coke zero during my week - with my crisps for lunch
  • maybe a couple of days with 2 scoops of mix a mousse
  • only 2.5 litres of water a day
  • 2 days where i had 2 packs - had a tetra brik thurs and fri - extra as was so hungry.
Whats everyones thoughts?

P.s - i nearly cried when i found out it was only 4lbs i managed to keep my composure though!!

you should find u have a better loss if u drink more water. could u manage an extra litre or 1.5 litres on top? last time i did CD my best losses were the weeks i had 4 litres daily...it really does make a difference. xxx

don t be to disheartened 4lb is still a good loss, i would say try and up your water a little, and make sure you have all 3 packs everyday, it shouldn t take you long to lose the weight i wish you every sucess ,keep us posted

also, r u in ketosis? having mix a mousse and coke zero in the first week might mean u arent in fat burning mode.

Thanks girls, I am going to try and up the water then.

Maybe im not then? I should know better really, i've been on and off CD since October last year!

I should have a better week this week, i will lay off the MAM and coke zero and drink more water.

My ketostix always have a cerise colour whereas last year they were always beige - ketosis.

Hmm something to think about....thank you. x x

IF Stick is cerise colour you are dehidrated...and must drink more water. 4lb is still a good loss. Don't beat yourself up. Leave off the Coke Zero too..I'm sure this will help too.

Isn't it probably because you are only a couple of pounds away from goal?Sure a CDC will advise - but I'd say 4lbs is pretty damn good and you'll be at target next week! Well done

Sorry when I said 10 stone 3/4 I mean 10 stone 3 or 4 lbs!

So no not on target yet.

I dont see HOW i can be dehydrated, its silly because im drinking so much water.

I hope you're feeling a bit better after reading everyone's replies. These are my thoughts.

* 4lbs = 14,000 calories. (Hope I've got my sums right there as I'm a bit tired:rolleyes:)

* Pick up 2 bags of sugar next time you are shopping and carry them around for 5 minutes, put them down and see how you feel.:)

* I agree about upping your water intake a bit. :)
