790 plan Salmon? Any CDC help?

Yes - I was told that too - about half the amount of salmon that you'd have of white fish - cos it's soooo oily (but yummy!)

Would the same apply for mackerel and smoked mackerel?

Not sure I could trust myself to have a tiny portion though!

oooh goody, I love salmon.

Not too concerned about the portion size because I'm really finding some of the 790 portions too big to mangage in one go (have to have half for lunch and half for tea).

Would about 130g of salmon sound right as a 790 portion?

I have clarified this with head office this afternoon.

The amount of salmon you would be allowed would be so tiny once cooked it would not be worth having. It would probably be less than half the amount allowed for fresh tuna.

Definitely no to the mackeral.

Definitely no to smoked fish due to salt content so if having haddock white fish only.

Re the egg, 1 a day at the moment but this is being checked out.

Other options not yet in print but on the way:

80g dried weight red lentils
225 can chick peas in water drained
80g dried weight chick peas
70g dried weight Soya bean

Our nutritionist is currently looking at other options.

Bumping a very old thread but does anyone else eat chickpeas on 810 and what kind of spices do you use?

I'm also confused about the non/low fat salad dressings. Is there a risk anything with citric acid could kick me out of ketosis?
