A Healthier Lifestyle Quest!!

Have a good lunch - pinch some syns from tomorrow :) (and the day after)

Ended up having cajun chicken with rice, salad and coleslaw so onky thing I had to syn was the coleslaw - which used up my remainibg 6 syns. Had diet coke to drink...

Dinner was lean pork chop with syn-free chips and mixed veg.

HExA was 250ml glass of milk and HExB was 2 Rocky Road Hifi bars hehe.

Well done sticking to plan!!! xx

Well done on the good choices. I used to love those SW Rocky bars and had a look at them in Asda yesterday - could not believe the cals in them so left them on the shelf.:)

Well done for leaving them on the shelf, I am finding my will power is really improving now I look at the calories and then make a decision :)

Morning! Can't believe it is Thursday already...feel like this week is going so quickly for some reason!

Food menu today:

B - 2 weetabix (HExB) with ss-milk (HExA), chopped banana & 1 tbsp golden syrup (2 syns)
L - Batchelors Pasta & Sauce high-veg Mediterranean Tomato (free on SW?! Mental...)
D - Chicken stir-fry with red onions, peppers, soy sauce
Snacks - Hi-Fi Rocky Road bar (3 syns), strawberries, grapes & mullerlight, 5 melba toast (2.5 syns), 1 crackerbread (1 syn) with 1 dairylea light triangle (1.5 syns)

Syns = 10
Calories = 1600 approx

I am drinking about 2.5 litres of water every day now. It's almost become 2nd nature to me which is good. I know calories seem a little on the high side again but I am going to burn about 300 off with the Leslie Walk plus some boxercise type stuff so fingers crossed it'll be ok...

As you know, I've been doing the 1 mile beginners Leslie Walk this past week. Well, I have just completed my first 2 mile Leslie Walk and I got all the way through to the end! Here's my sweaty face to celebrate haha:

I look pouty but I'm actually just blowing the air out ;) I feel so proud of myself.

Well done on the Leslie Sanson walks - glad I have got some of you interested in them. I have just come back from Aerobics class and though this is tame today compared to the 3 mile fast Leslie walk - would never have thought like that before I started doing them.:)

Sounds like you are definitely on plan and well done xx

Thanks :) I figure if I build it up little by little I'll soon be on those fast walks myself haha.

Here's some piccies of my breakfast & lunch today:

I think that is definitely the way to do it Hun, slow and steady wins the race :) I walk everywhere so am used to walking and the three mile fast one is still a challenge lol x

Slight dinner change - dad forgot to pick up the stirfry stuff lol. So we had steamed cod with syn-free chips, peas and a lettuce, red onion and tomato salad.

Still sounds nice and those pics look lovely xx

What did I tell you before - what are Dad's like - my husband is one and is just the same - our son tells me all the time :D

Haha, I swear he is getting worse! But yes, dinner was still delicious. So I think it'll be last night's original dinner plan tonight (provided dad does indeed remember to pick up the ingredients lol)

Food today:

B - strawberries & grapes topped with muller light yogurt
L - Batchelors Chicken & Mushroom Pasta 'n' Sauce with chopped peppers
D - Chicken Stir-fry!!
Snacks - fruit, 250ml glass of ss-milk (HExA) , 2 slice of wholemeal toast (HExB) with dairylea light triangle (1.5 syns), 4 melba toast (2 syns), 1 crackerbread (1 syn) with 3 tbsp salsa dip (1.5 syns) & 2 tbsp sweet chilli dip (4 syns)

Syns = 10
Calories = 1500 approx

Seems like a lot of snacks but I'll have the melba toast, crackerbread & dips as an afternoon snack and my toast & dairylea for supper before bed. Milk I'll just drink throughout the day. And I'll have some fruit as a mid-morning snack if I am peckish.

Oh yeah!! I was going to have a donut peach with my yogurt too this morning but there were half-eaten and little animal droppings were in the basket! My dad doesn't think it's mice though, he thinks it's a weasel! Needless to say the fruit went in the bin and we'll need to take steps to deter the little critter.

Anyway...only one more sleep til I get to see Calum :eek::D Off to Aberdeen tomorrow with his mum for a few nights to visit his big brother. I'll need to be extra prepared if I'm to stay on plan!

Leslie 2 mile walk successfully completed...hard to tell in this pic but I am a Sweaty Betty again and it feels good!!

Well done on the walk - I am not doing it today as I have got a really bad pain in my calf muscle, don't know why - having a lazy day today.:)

More food photos please.
