A Healthier Lifestyle Quest!!

Afternoon everyone :)

I've decided to try my first Red/Original day today. When my mum did SW years ago she always had better losses with this plan so just curious to see if it can help boost my loss this week. Thinking I'll try 4 Red/Original days this week but stick to Extra Easy while I'm away in Dumfries on Saturday/Sunday. Plus yesterday was an EE day.

Food today:

B - Fruit'n'Fibe (HExB1) with ss-milk (HExA1) & chopped banana
L - Bacon topped with cheddar (HExA2) & side salad of romaine lettuce + cherry tomatoes
D - Mince with carrots & onions through it, cabbage and a baked potato (HExB2)
Snacks - satsuma, cherries, pineapple, strawberries, muller light, curly wurly (6 syns)

Syns = 6
Calories = approx 1400

Good morning everyone!

Aiming for another Red Day today so food is:

B - Fruit'n'Fibre (HExB1) with ss-milk (HExA1) & chopped banana plus a cuppa tea (regular tea, need to buy more green!)
L - Cheese (HExA2) & tomato omelette with salad
D - Maggi So Juicy Garlic Chicken (1.5 syns) with a baked potato (HExB2) & salad
Snacks - tangerine, strawberries, cherries, muller light, fruit pastille ice lolly (3 syns) & choc chip cookie (3.5 syns)

Syns = 8
Calories = Approx 1450

I'll be doing a lot of walking outside today. I need to walk to/from town this morning which is an almost 4 mile round trip (including up a massive hill on the way home!). Then I need to take one of my poor wee dogs to the vet this evening (which is just over a 2.5 mile round trip). It's my jack russell, Jake that is not well. I noticed he is passing blood in drops and some times quick streams after her urinates :(. He is 11 years old now but I'm hoping whatever it is can be fixed easily and it's nothing too sinister. I got him for my 16th birthday when he was only 6 months old and I'd be devastated if anything happened to him.

I'll update later. Hope you all have a lovely day x

Beautiful day here for walking - just walked back from Aerobics along the Coast - hope it is a nice where you are.

Food looking good.:) I have just made an omelette for lunch as OH ate all the soup I made this morning, thought it was all for him - must be fair though there was not as much as I usually make.

Hope things go well at the vets.

Just a wee update to say my dog is ok. Just a wee infection and has had a jag and got some tablets to take over the next week. Phew!! I enjoyed the walk home more than the walk there haha

Another dog story - a lady at class was telling us yesterday that when her dog sees her he hides under the table because he does not want to go out with her - again. She was laughing and saying since we started the step counter challenge her dog has lost loads of weight because she is always taking him out walking. :)

Haha, that's awesome. Well, they weighed Jake yesterday and he's put on a few kilos since last time they weighed him (but that was 2007 and he got bulky after he got the snip!) so more walks for him won't do any harm. They don't think he's overweight though, just a stocky jack russell lol.

Off to Calum's mum's in Dumfries soon. Be there til Monday but will try to update food diaries while there :)

Food today:

B - Fruit'n'Fibre (HExB1) with ss-milk (HExA1) & banana
L - Chicken tikka salad with light mayo (2 syns)
D - Cheese (HExA2), ham & tomato omelette with salad
Snacks - Peanut hifi bar (HExB2), strawberries, tangerine, cherries & muller light, Belgian Choc options x 1 (2 syns) & Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers x 2 (3 syns)

Syns =7
Calories = Approx 1400

To be honest, I'm not sure these Red Days are doing me any good. I might have a sneak peak at the scales at Calum's mum's just for my own reassurance over the weekend but I think maybe the increase in fibre/calcium with the added Healthy Extra options is working against me. :( x

Hey everyone,

Lost another 1.5lbs this week. Will update properly tomorrow :)
Going back to Extra Easy as Red/Original seems to make bo difference lol x

Thank you everyone...

Sorry I haven't been on. Been busy getting stuff sorted for my retrieval placement over the last few days so had meetings at uni etc. Not long til I start. Found out my tutor (the one who will come and assess a lesson I do) and am pleased as he is apparently very supportive which is what I need to have the best chance of passing!

I have been on plan 100% this week. Not sure if any of you use Insta gram but I set up a Slimming World account (slimmingworld_erin) so all my food pics are on that :)

Off to catch up on your diaries now x

well done on your loss xx

*crawls through the back door*

I fell majorly off the wagon at the weekend. Burgers & chips at the pub, fruit cider, my body weight in chocolate. No clue what the hell happened :(. I am lucky to have
maintained according to last night's weigh in at my SW class so at least the damage isn't too bad!

Fresh start today.

B - 2 weetabix (HExB) with ss-milk (HExA), chopped banana & strawberries

L - SW chips with mackerel in tomato sauce & salad
D - Tuna pasta with (4 syns) light mayo & salad
Snacks - muller light, grapes, options hot choc (2 syns)

This week seems to be off to a good start. I ended up having a cheese, leek & ham pasta'n'sauce for dinner last night instead of tuna pasta but calories probs worked out the same.

I got a lovely surprise in the post today from my friend:

Gonna give it a bash later. Something a wee bit different. The chewing gum is my fave flavour and is to help with any sweet cravings hehe :)

Hope you are all having a good week so far x
