A little bit about you....

....I think this board is fab! For sure the most supportive board on the website. You all support me through my journey and I appreciate it lots. Anyway I feel like I joined you all half way through your journals and I know you quite well but not the essentials! So thought we could do the essentials like jobs/children/hobbies that sort of thing :) and weight loss journey

So I'm Sarah, I'm 26 and live in Lincolnshire! I'm engaged and live with my fiancé. I don't have children but I'm so broody! It might be a honeymoon baby making session haha! I've always been an active person, I grew up being a figure skater and competing lots. I also did tap dance as a child!
I lived in Manchester for 3years for uni.
I work in a finance setting and I manage about 12 staff currently soon to be 22 arghhh!
I have no pets. I love to paint. I sell canvas abstract paintings on a commission basis! I sell them for £50-£100 which isn't a lot for the time I put into them but I enjoy doing them. I've just joined the athletics club near me. Woooop competition time lol!

Okay my weight loss journey is simple......I was the annoying skinny girl until I was about 22 years old! Then my weight slowly crept up! Then before I knew it I weighed 206lbs! Even at my highest weight I was pretty fit physically which is why I never felt fat! Plus due to my height I never really went past a size 16.
So weight watchers was my first ever diet in my whole life! Which is why I'm surprised I've done so well! I'm now a healthy weight but still aiming for 140lbs target!

Okay that's my story.....can't wait to hear more about you guys!

Well my story is fairly boring compared to purpled!

Im 24 in 2 days! I live in port Isaac, Cornwall! I live with my partner and daughter! I did beauty therapy lv2 at collage then met my partner and got pregnant, I then became a stay at home mum to Elisha who is now 6! I've done my lv2 & 3 in childcare training and am now cleaning whist I find a job that fits in with school and my 1yr old border collie! Which is easier said than done!
My border collie is called Tilly and I also have a cat called Maisy! My partner has now decided to start breeding finches too so we have 4 pairs of them in the house and 4 pairs outside in an aviary!

My weight: I have dieted since school, although I was never overweight but it was comments from my step mum that made me feel like I needed to loose weight! I put a ton of weight on during pregnancy and started feeling low about myself inwhich made me gain more, I've finally after 6 years decided enough is enough and instead of messing around any longer with dieting I restarted ww for the last time! I started at 13.2 and after 6 months I'm now 10.4!

Never ever compare yourself to me or anyone and call yourself boring! I could say the same to you! You have a lovely daughter and family! A lot of people would love that!

Anyway....I love Cornwall, I've been to st Ives a few times. Plus Newquay surfing!

So what made this time different if dieting never worked before. Do you think you were just more motivated?

i love this post!! great idea!!!

Im Emma, im 22 and have been with my bf for 2 yrs and 2 months! we met on facebook believe it or not!! i added him by accident, he accpeted and we spoke that day from 10am until 10pm messaging back and forth on facebook. We then met later that week and after a month of being together we havent spent more than two nights apart since!! We have just bought a brand new apartment and will be moving into it at the end of August to start our life together properly! extremely exciting! I have two cats; benny and bonny. I work in a small company that buys and consolidates specialist security equipment and currently i am a project co-ordinator, however i am doing my Prince2 qualification to become a fully fledged Project Manager. I have worked full time since i was 17 and have always enjoyed it.

My weight: hmmmmm where to start!!!!! when i was 18 i was a size ten (i have put pictures in my albums on my profile) i cant remember the weight which is annoying! so yes i was a size ten, at this point i was a little more active, i was single, spending lots of time working - not an office job, a job where i was on my feet for 9 hr shifts, then i met my bf when i was 19 and slowly as we were together longer and longer slowly my weight crept up more and more until i got to 13st 6lbs and had enough!! this was January this year, since then i have done Slim Fast, VLCD, Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast again, Weight Watchers again and now Simply Filling WW! and i can say hand on heart THIS IS IT!!! when we move i want to be back to being happy with myself, my bf loves me the way i am no matter what and luckily i carry my weight well and havent gone above being size 12/14 on bottoms or size 12 on tops, but i want to do this for me. i want to be more happy with myself :D

lovely to meet you all!!!!

xxxx

It just clicked this time! I'd had enough of being fat! The longest id done ww for was 4 months!

Ok well i'm 38,am disabled so have only ever done volunteering work.Had my first child when I was 19,moved on from her Dad then ended up with my now ex hubby who I had my second child with, the children are 19 and nearly 15.I left my hubby for my now partner(very out if character for me but so much had happened that I got caught up in things)Things aren't plain sailing with my now OH but...I'm still here lol.I moved bout a hours drive from my old town to near Ipswich(I'm out in the sticks) I've always exercised over the years but have to be careful cos of my disability as well.Gained weight with both pregnancies and lost with both plus put weight on in general and lost. One time I kept the weight off for 3 years but after some holidays and stress I put it all back on,I did WW and lost but lost interest once I was a helper and stress yet again so here I am now! Still get stressed with some things but take control of my eating now.I have gone up to 14 stone before but also never more then a size 16.

Ohh I forgot pets! Two dogs that live with the ex and my kids and one pup who I got in dec last year,I moved here Jan 2011 and OH moved in September,we had a long distance relationship until then! Like you Emma and your OH,I met him on fb though he is my friends cousin!

Sarah am sorry to hear that comments from your step mum made you feel like you needed to lose weight!

Thanks, I think what it boils down to was the fact she was so overweight and she was trying to make herself feel better! A couple years ago she went for a gastric bypass surgery on the nhs! I'm totally against it, what gets me is she lost 4 stone through diet and exercise so she could have the op and she hasn't stepped foot in the gym since! It kinda makes me feel better that I have list my weight though hard work and not just the tax payers money!

Bulldogdaisy do u mind me asking how ur disabled? If that's something ud rather not share then I understand!

Here's me feeling sorry for myself and then u realise that some ppl have harder things to deal with (that's not in any way meant to be/sound mean or patronising)!

Emma I love the fact you added your OH by accident! Thats what you call fate :0)

i know! its a good story to tell the Grandkids (if it gets to that stage lol)!!! and its so strange because we are like two peas in a pod! so similar! best friends as well as bf and gf :) xx

oo dont get me started on this!! someone we know had a gastric bypass, like your step mum she had it on the nhs (even though she just inherited alot of money which is why she decided to do it! but didnt even have to pay in the end) and she lost 3 stone before surgery and now she eats chocolate, crisps etc still!!! and because she eats so bad she has to have vitamin injections every month!!! i just think it completely defeats the object of it!!! she over eats to the point where shes sick! i have never congratulated her on her weight loss because i dont feel she has done anything - if she had the surgery and has since turned her eating habits around or gone to the gym etc then it would be different! sorry but i cannot congratulate someone for something that has been handed to them and in a way they have cheated to get there! 100% with you on that one Sarah! xxx

What bugs me as well is she now wants the baggy skin removed on the nhs!

I've never said anything about her weightloss or surgery and when she complains when she feels sick after eating something she never gets sympathy from me!

Shame she just didn't stick with the diet and exercise and did it that way! Yup at least you know how hard you have worked to get to where you want to be!

I didn't take your comment like that,in fact my disability has gotten easier over the years as I know what to do and what not to do.Its a hereditary condition called epidermolysis bullosa, which is blistering of the skin,I mainly get it on my feet but have had it on my hands as well,it's from my dads side and some of my sisters have it,my daughter,my nephew and unfortunately some of his kiddies as well.Had it since I could walk,so no running or walking too far, even some exercise and a big no no for lots of things in the summer!friction does not help, used to be under the hospital for it but no cure so don't do that anymore!Plus you can ask me anything :0)

.

I will have to look it up on the Internet! It's must b hard for u somedays knowing that there r things that u can't do! Does it just peel or is it really sore? U would gave thought in this day and age they could find some sort of cure! And well done for still doing some voluntary work, I bet it's nice sometimes to just help ppl, I think that's something not many ppl do anymore!
