Activity Points

Ok, I don't know if this is a silly question or not but I wondered if anyone knew how many calories you needed to burn off to earn a activity point? Do activity points hold like a average calorie amount, like a pro point is average of 40 calories (not always correct but 9 times out of 10) so do activity points work in a similar way?

I've been adding up how many calories I'm working off, via the machines and also from a very useful website I found so wondered if the was a 'science' to it?

Also while I'm asking, what is a good amount of activity points to earn from the gym in a new joiner at the gym? Im nearly 30, weight 9 stone 1 and am 5ft3 (and a half) if that helps?

Do you have the purple pocket guide that came in your ww pack?
If so there is an activity pro points value chart on page 62. Activity points are calculated using your current weight, intensity of exercise, and length of time you exercised for.
So using this table I worked out: since you weigh 9 stone 1 if you did 40 minutes of medium intensity exercise you would earn 2 aps whereas 40 minutes of high intensity exercise would earn you 6

There is also a table in the pocket guide which you can use to figure out what intensity level you were exercising at.

**There is also a calculation for working out the activity points if you do not have access to the activity points table. If you need this let me know and I will try to find it for you :)**
