Here is a question. I am perhaps going back to playing American Football. My training is weekly and lasts about 3 hours. How would I work out activity points? I am not sure how to describe the intensity of it? Any pointers?
 
i would go as per that chart thing that you get with the folder, Intensity levels range from 1 to 3. whereby level 1 you can still hold a conversation and are able to sing etc. level 3 you can speak but you cant sing and are sweating after 10 mins.

could someone correct me if i have got this wrong.

Thanks. Not sure how to measure it then. I would be able to talk but I would be sweating after about 1 minute
 
i would definitely class as high intensity for american football, but i suppose it depends on your fitness level - maybe count it as moderate to be safe?

Mod Activity is your current weight x # of mins x .000327

Heavy Activity your current weight x # of mins x .0008077
 
Aerobics - 30minutes (1.5), 60 minutes (2.5)
Jogging - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Pilates - 30minutes (1.5), 60 minutes (2.5)
power walking - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Running - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Running up stairs - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Skipping - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Step class - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Swimming - 30minutes (1.5), 60 minutes (2.5)
Tae Bo - 30 minutes (3.5), 60 minutes (6.5)
Walking briskly (15min mile) - 30minutes (1.5), 60 minutes (2.5)
