Hi everyone.

Looking for some advice so hopeing someone could help.

Iam going to start going to the gym but iam not sure which is the best time to go i was thinking that the evening would be the best but not really sure.

also i had a sandwhich and some soup for my lunch is that ok when your a diet or should i have something lighter.

Personally I think any time is a good time where the gym is concerned. Your lunch sounds perfect - but if the sandwich was shop bought they can have lots of calories

I go at various different times, just when it fits in to my day really. As for the lunch, it depends on what kind of diet you are following whether or not it's good

as taz said, it depends what diet you are following if its a good lunch, watch for hidden salt content in tinned soup :D

and any time that suits you is good for the gym, exercise is exercise ;)

ideally the experts say you would want to go first thing in the morning if fat burning is the objective. because you burn more fat on a empty stomach (body burns fat for energy at that time, not carbohydrates from recently eaten food).

but obviously because of work/uni/school you cant really go at those times.
