All my UPs and DOWN's

But you have lost so much weight T2G, Ive only just realised how much you have lost, its amazing!!x

This is true but I'm up 20lbs from my lightest! Was very down today but I've mare soup and been a run! X

Thanks for the congrats from everyone.

I'm not in the best head space right now. My moods are so changeable. I'm struggling to keep going, not the diet just life itself, to actually do stuff, like the work placement and college. I never know how I will be one day to the next. I've been stable since around april/may but gradually since september everythings started shifting again and this last 3 weeks gotten a lot worse. The good news is I do have a psych appointment on friday. Though I dont know want he can do as I'm already at the max on one of my meds, the one that stabilizes depression. I would love to have a problem with mania, unfortunately I only ever seem to have a problem with the stupid depression.
I will ask him about the alternate day fasting.

When this happens I start looking around for the culprit, the trigger. See whats changed.
One thing is the BP meds, I last saw my psych on nov 2nd and he wanted the amlodpine changed. I started that at the end of august, so thats one possibility. But its been stopped a while now and things are getting worse.
Another possibility is the fasting days. I read somewhere on a particular diets website that people taking lithium or with a psych diagnosis, cannot do a vlcd.
Last year I tried Atkins again. In the past, before diagnosis and meds, pre 2010, I've been very successful low carbing. It seemed to suit my body but last year I lasted about 10 days and had to quit because of extreme irritability which is one side of mania and I didnt feel physically well either.
So because of what is said about vlcd's and what happened with atkins I'm going to try just calorie counting for a week or two.
I have got to stabilise my mood otherwise my life goes down the toilet., and I'll try anything and everything to achieve that.My mental health always takes precedence.
I cant tell you what it feels like to lose control, to be at the mercy of a defunct brain chemistry.
It really pees me off but no amount of fighting or moaning about it will make it go away.

Anyway calorie counting, an even number, 1500, every day for now, to see if that makes any difference mentally. Weight loss wise I'll take anything......

Bless you Kitty, as you said your health must come first. Have you come off the amlodipine as that is one of the BP meds I take along with Ibersartan.
It will be interesting to hear what the doc says on Friday. Take care my dear and let us know how things are going.....you are doing so well!!xx

Hi Kitty, sorry to hear you are struggling and you are very right your mental health is most important here.

I am loving JUDDD but for some reason it's making my anxiety attacks worse/more frequent, I was fine before starting the plan.

Please keep us updated on how you are doing
Take care x

Hello everyone, thanks for the support I really appreciate it.

The one thing that is a constant with me right now is the need to lose weight, despite everything else thats going to hell this is the one thing that is fixed in my mind. So I'm still going. Cant wait till friday when I see my psychiatrist again, hoping he can make some sense out of my "stuff".
Balance and stability are like my holy grail.

Anyway..dieting...I feel like I'm treading water at the moment by calorie counting but I am losing small amounts daily. I plan to do this up to christmas see if it effects my moods or not, and then hopefully get back to JUDDD.

STS. Tomorrow is weekly weigh in.
Bought a new set of scales, they weigh me 1lb heavier. They also go up in eighths which is weird. Trying to figure out how to work this into my losses with the least damage. If I can get a 2lb drop somewhen, then maybe I can switch.
At the moment I weigh on both scales:confused: but still use my old ones to record the loss because I cant bear a gain of 1lb from having an inaccurate scale:(

Well donw on your calorie counting and good luck with the doctor, annoying about the scale I would stick to the old one (how do you know whcih one is inaccurate??) As you started weighing on the ones you have that is the amount you have lost :)

LOL, thats whats been bothering me, I lost on the old ones why change? :D

Saga of the scales goes like this:
I only have one small patch of lino in my kitchen and its old and has bumps in it. I moved the old scales around trying to find a place without wobbles, and I thought I found at least 3 places, but when I used the new scales seems like 99% of that lino is not flat!
I weighed myself on both scales in the same place more than once and the new scales always registers a 1lb more.
The new scales have carpet feet so I used them upstairs in the bedroom and they weighed exactly the same as they did in the kitchen, so I know its accurate on the carpet. My entire house is carpet except for the crappy lino in the kitchen.
My old scale also tends to 'flutter' between weights, like this morning I thought it was going to settle on 194.8 but it jumped to 195.2 and then it stuck there. This is why I bought the new scale I was losing trust in my old ones.
This morning the new scale slowed a loss of 10oz but when I weighed on the old ones there was no change. So now I've decided to switch to my new ones and count todays weight, my weekly weigh in as a sts. One scale says 195.2, the new one = 195.8oz. I dont even know how to compare the fractions, my old scale went up in 0.2 increments, my new one does eighths, so I'll just start a fresh week with a sts as who cares about a fraction.
The new scales are the salter ultimate accuracy goal tracker ones.

Psychiatrist appt -completely forgot to ask about the diet! There were other things on my mind. I've started a new med, see what happens.
Earlier in the week I found out I'm anaemic so now have to take iron along with all my other meds.
I should be rattling when I move.

Thankfully the one think that is still constant is my desire to lose weight. I'm tempted to go back to JUDDD but think with christmas looming I might as well carry on CCing till christmas is out of the way and start fresh on 27th or 28th dec

Despite what I said yesterday I think I'll go back to JUDDDing. Friday I only ate 839cals, I just wasnt hungry and yesterday I did 2200, looks like a JUDDD pattern to me, so today I'm doing a DD.
See what happens.

using new scales is tricky, going from counting ounces in fifths, to eigths. Be glad for a new month so I have nice clean looking numbers.

Good luck with the new meds Hun. I havent been on here for a few days tbh have been feeling poo, Saturday I spent most of the day feeling sorry for myself and eating and had an UD on Sunday as well!! Did my first double dd on Mon, Tues and havent done too much damage though which is something, I have now got 3 ud's on the trot...work meals and suchlike but will do 2 dd's Sat and Sun and will weigh myself Xmas Eve...cant cope with bounces at the moment...with my mind at the mo it would want to throw the towel in and I cant have that!! Should get hubbies date for op tomorrow so at least will have something to aim for then.

Sorry to moan Kitty, you are doing so well and Im still very jealous of your weight!!xx

Well I'm back! Hello diet!
Sorry I disappeared, I had a few problems, lost the plot on the 17th, tried to get back to a DD since 26th, finally made it yesterday and feel so much better for achieving it.
I did record my weight every day even though I was eating nothing but junk. I guess a part of me wanted to not go too far into comfort eating oblivion.
On the 17th I weighed 196.8oz, starting again yesterday I weighed 199.14oz, after my 1st DD, this morning I'm 198.12oz so back in the right direction.
As today is the last day of december I've gained 2lb.8oz for the month, tho I was using a different scales at the beginning of the month so its not very accurate but I can start January fresh.

So heres how it went:
