Any experience with strength training on a VLCD?

I'm really enjoying my time in the gym and have been loving my weights, but I'm starting a VLCD today. Has anyone else combined the two, and did it work for them?

I've been reading about targeted ketogenic diets and the suggestion to eat a small amount of carbs (25g or more) about an hour before working out to give you some glucogen to burn- what do you think? Would that work?

At this point, of course, it's all hypothetical because I'm not actually in ketosis yet but- y'know. Later in the week I'm going to need this.:eek:
 
They say you do not lose weight while exercising so give us your feedback.
