Hehe, got to agree with you on that one, mine have disappeared too! Congratulations on your DH's MBE by the way, just read it in one of your old posts. I bet you're both so proud! X

Why thank you, thats very kind & yep well proud. We had a fabulous 2 days in London, stayed in 5* hotel, met the Queen, had a visit round Houses of Parliment, had afternoon tea & drinks with a Lord & basically a brilliant time. Lots of photo's & a DVD of him meeting the Queen, he looked soooo handsome.....& I wore a hat lol! :)

Hope you don't mind me putting my two cents in. I was at my heaviest with my ex. He hated that I lost weight and wouldn't help at all. He wouldn't try making SW recipes (he was the main cook) and turned his nose up at everything I made. He was perfectly happy to have me sit at home waiting for him as I was too embarrassed of my body to leave the house - other than for work. He belittled my depression and the only shoulder I was given was one that left bruises. As soon as I started to lose weight and gain confidence, he pushed me away even more than he did before, both emotionally and physically. He even locked me in once!

Then I met my OH. He has only really known me since about 10st 7 (sounds funny to say it like that, but I know you can relate), but has shown me more love, affection and appreciation than my ex ever did. I'm not ashamed to admit that I left my ex for him - it is the single best decision that I have ever made! That relationship was so unhealthy for me. I realise now that his behaviour was due to his own issues and insecurities, although that is not an excuse. I realised that my life would be so much happier without him and left. Unfortunately not completely free from him yet as I own a flat with his mother and its all going through the courts. He still tries to belittle me at every given opportunity though. I've learnt enough about his behaviour now to ignore it, but it certainly doesn't help with my emotional eating!

Its amazing how differently people can react to change. I'm so much happier now. I have someone who accepts me for who and what I am and that's all that matters. We have such a connection, we know that we can make it through anything. I can't wait to make him Mr Downtownsuzie lol

Sorry for hijacking x

I'm very sorry to hear that, there are some horrible people in this world and nice people don't deserve to be treated that way. I'm glad that you have moved on and found someone that treats you with the love and respect you deserve. I have a tattoo on my foot that reads "what goes around, comes around" and I'm a firm believer in karma - whichever way it works :)

It's great that you feel happy now. And I honestly wish you luck and happiness in your current relationship :) I've been with OH for almost 8 years since I was 15 so he's seen me at all shapes and sizes though now I'm slimmer than I've ever been before!

Are you engaged?! Or just planning ahead? :p

Its something we've always talked about. Its not official yet, but we're getting married :) I don't have an engagement ring as such, but we both wear rings (on the other hand) that we bought each other on holiday a year ago, and a big sparkly ring he bought me as a gift, but no engagement ring yet. We're in no rush - we have lots of things to sort first! Lol

8 years is very impressive, btw!

Kind of! Trying to figure out colour schemes and an idea of what I want while at the same time trying to dissuade OH from wanting to wear a white suit! Haha, will be more exciting when it comes to trying on dresses! Especially if those dresses are a size 8!!! Not sure what style to get though, as I'm quite short so need to keep it simple x

That's what I (and his mum) said to him!!! Eeeek, we'll see how it goes. I've tried compromising by saying we can have a blessing on the beach on our honeymoon and he can wear it then, but he didn't seem keen lol

Ran 1.27 miles in 13 mins and 17 seconds this morning :)

Not sure how I'm going to get to 30 minutes! Going to have to build it up or split it over two sessions
