Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

For Annie:

I have been running since the beginning of feb (though a lot more recently) and these are the measurements:

12/2/12
Arm: 10"
Thigh: 21"
Waist: 25.5"
Hips: 31"
Underbust: 29.5"

And these are the stats from last sat 17/3/12
Arm: 9.25"
Thigh: 20"
Waist: 24"
Hips: 30.5"
Underbust: 28"

So you can see there has been an inch lost from my thighs and half an inch from my hips. I credit my thigh inch loss to running for certain - I can see the muscle definition and tone.

Kim: I'm going to steal your idea and start measuring in centimetres so I can see any smaller changes now that I'm getting so close to target :)

OMG Charlie, you are tiny!
Ref the ryvita crackerbread.....I thought you could have 6 as a B Hex?
Lunch ideas.....homemade soup, sandwiches, pasta salads, jacket potato, leftovers from the day befores dinner x

My waist has shrunk so much, I'm definitely an hourglass (not sure what fruit that makes me?!) as my hips are large in comparison!

I've had 28g porridge so get one crackerbread as remaining HEB ;)

I'm going to have a look for some soups - jackets are too large, and I like to have me HEB for breakfast. We have leftovers the next evening anyways so there's no wastage in this house! I've made tomato soup (not so keen) and a higgidy piggidy veg soup (delish but I literally just chucked a load of veg in with some stock!) and so fancy something with a bit of a kick - will scour the forums :) thanks! X

Also, the queue for the microwave at lunch is ridiculous - might look for some pasta/rice salads instead - any recipes? X

Might be wrong but thought the porridge had gone up to 35g, minus the crackerbread, as they changed the Hex's in the new book. Im only going from memory from on here so dont quote me, but its definately in the old book as just looked it up....but if it works.......x

I also take some fruit for my dinner and eat that while waiting for everyone to finish with the microwave then do my dinner. Fills you up nicely too x

Cooked pasta shapes/rice with any salad/veg, tuna, egg, cheese with any dressing you like.....any mix you like. Taboulah is a fave of mine, but I use bulghar wheat rather than cous cous as I find its too soggy x

Half marathon is 13.1 miles......a blinking long way! Ive done a few & its a great sense of achievement! Now your well in to your running Charlie you should sign up for some events, like a 10km o a Half! I find I always need something to aim for & keeps the motivation going. x

Wow well done on completing a "few" 1/2 marathons this is my first and last ha ha
The training has really taken over life so can't really find time to keep that level up, love running and will continue but just stay at 10k's I think much more managable
When did you last do one? what time did you do? I'm hoping to come in before 21/2 hours fingers crossed :)

Oh noooo I must be so behind! I'm still using the 2010 version of things :( if they worked back then I don't see why it shouldn't be alright now though right? x

Same as my books, but I try & keep up to date on here as much as I can......I have 35g porridge & no ryvita/scan bran....but I think they changed it coz people weren't having the extra fibre with the ryvita etc.....I'll double check if I can in a bit as just having my dinner as a bit peckish! x

Ah thanks for the heads up, just seen it on the SW site as part of 7 day menu - 35g porridge. Good to know :) x

Thank you so much! How much did you weigh when you started? My measurements are:

Arm: 12
Thigh: 22
Waist: 29
Hips: 40
Underbust: 31

Its amazing how different we are with only about a stone between our weights! Even if I could get my hips to 35, I would feel so much more in proportion.

Do you run with wrist weights on? Its something I'm considering to tone my arms up a bit x

Hey! Welcome :) good luck with your half marathon - how long is that? I only run 5km a day but would love to eventually increase the distance.

Hi thank you it's 13.2 miles and it's a long way.... Ha this is my first and last ;-)
Running 5k is great especially if you doing it every day maybe miss a day and increase the distance. There are loads of 10k races around to give yourself a goal, I prefer this distance.
Sounds like you doing ok though keep going xx

I was 13 stone 3 lbs when I started, but I've lost the measurements that I took back then!

I don't wear wrist weights but I do some strength exercises using hand weights sometimes after a run while my heart is still racing. And sit ups too. X

I've got my first ever measurements in my old SW book at home! Will dig it out tonight x

Going to invest in some hand and wrist weights I think :) no way I could run with ankle weights yet! Haha

Charlie your measurements are fab you've done really well :)
Your hips are the same size as my waist he he x

Post 1500, I swear we were in the 900s last week lol

Hello Lovely ladies :)

Sorry been able to chat much today, I have a trainee with me and its not a good impression sitting on your phone all the time!

So after having a discussion with my mum and dad they both think Rosemary Conely is a good idea.

I'm sticking around with you guys (if thats ok!!) because the rosmary conely threads are dead! Nobody ever talks on them by the looks of things.

Kim - Defo going to try the low carb thing if it helps shift tummy weight... just need to find one for back and bum fat lol

Annie - still aiming for 7lbs in our mini challenge too!!

Charlie - fab measurements hun :) bet your so chuffed how close to target you are now!

And new ladies - welcome!

xxx
