Anyone tried or is doing shake that weight vlcd?

Yes I had gone up 13 lbs... Xmas and hols Didnt help...
Sneak weigh in this mornin .. Down 6lbs so another one gone Official weigh in tomoro...
Have brought son to weekend doc and now in A&E as son Cudnt pee for hours and was in a bad way... Thankfully he's gone now.. Waitin 4 results of sample... Poor pet...
 
Wow that's brill Scalloped, Well done! I lost 8lbs my first time around and 1 stone 3 lbs this time around just before Christmas. Over Christmas I put on 4lbs but have sense lost it.

I've just purchased a vibration plate and have an exercise bike so I am hoping they'll help on the exercse for the most part. I've got a good 3 stone+ to lose :(

Can I ask is here a reason you're going to do it one week shakes, then shakes and a meal? I figured it would be harder to just go full in all shakes, which is why I am choosing to do 3 shakes a meal and then swapping to 5 shakes. Maybe I am doing this the wrong way around?
 
Weren't der too long thankfully b4 he finally went.... Doc reckoned he cud b bunged up which blocked his bladder and stopped it from emptying.. Gotta increase oranges and prunes and water..
Awful 2 see lots of trolleys in A&E with elderly people Lyin on dem..

Mornin.. Lost 61/4 lbs this wk.. Happy with that... Probably mostly water... Lovely sunshine here today... Hope Ye've d same der... Time 4 tae bo 54 min work out followed by a nice hot mint CHoc shake... Mmmmm
This wk Im goin 2 make a big effort to reduce bars...

Afternoon shoebe, thats marvelous news, ur half way to losing what u put on over xmas :D keep it up this week.
Its sunny and cloudy here, at least NO RAIN :D
Had put on 1.5lb just having small treat wed and meal down my friends thurs!!! But am now back to what I was wed, so hopefully a loss wed?
Am feeling hungry this week:( so instead of breakfast and lunch, I had brunch of 2 slices of linseed bread (i know, :( ) with 1 whole egg and one sachet of egg white powder (mixed with water) made into scrambled egg, what do u think? 2 meal packs would be 400 cals and about 36g carbs and what I had is 280 cals and 18.5g carbs, so it looks ok, what do u think? Wouldnt do it all the time, just sunday or when desperate!!!

Sounds super... Gr8 way 2 make packs last, add variety to Ur plan AND reduce carbs.... Well done u ... Where do u buy liquid egg white? I've never seen it 4 sale... And I h8 waste... So Dont like throwin d yokes down d sink... As my mother said Growin up.... Waste not want not!!!
Piddling down here all afternoon... Attacked my sons room... Moved another book shelf into his room as he needed more shelves as he's a bit of a bookworm... Went to visit inlaws... Now Sittin down munchin a Tesco Ultraslim bar and Watchin a Flintstone movie... Will attack my daughters room durin d wk... Have done enough 4 one day....
Isn't it Amazin how easy d lbs can sneak on... I'll Definately be copying some of Ur food ideas once I grow tired of d packs... Id Luv 2 lose d same this wk... Im goin to increase tae bo workouts to twice daily to see if that makes a difference... Here's 2 an even better wk ahead!!!
 
Hi everyone I have lost 12lb in 9 days so totally over the moon.... I've been doing shakes with a high protein low carb meal in the evenings, loads of green vegetables and steam chicken which is welcomed! Thanks for all your postings it is inspirational, ill keep going with stw now I know it definitely works! X
 
Hi Smuffin,

I work shifts, so find it difficult to have a meal on a late shift. It will be easier to just have the shakes on my lates, and shakes plus a meal on my earlies! It will mix things up a bit, but as long as I can lose the weight, I'll be happy!
 
Hi all I started about 10 days ago and I mix it up... Sometimes just shakes sometimes an evening meal (with the children) chicken and green veg (no peas) or tuna steak with roasted courgette peppers onion and few cherry toms with balsamic and have lost 12lb in 9 days but will weigh again Thursday. Love vanilla shake easy for work too!

Shoebe, i bought the egg white in tesco, it comes in a box, with sachets of egg white powder, each sachet is the equivalent to 2 egg whites. u add warm water to mix slowly. and use as fresh when reconstituted. egg white.jpg

Its been fine here all day, cold tho, but a lot better than the rain, am sick and tired of the rain, and supposed to be showery here all week as well :(

watch u don't do too much exercise as they don't recommend too much, due to low calories we are eating.
 
Oops... Just did another hour.... Dont use weights... Dont worry Ill b careful,., 8 min workout twice daily wouldn't be excessive me thinks...
Totally sick of rain... Too much here 2!!!

Wow 12lbs in 9 days is super... I've been overdoin d bars.. Need to try harder 2 be stricter... If I want to match Ur super fast loss!!

Mornin.. Tae bo done.. Popped banana shake into micro... Mmmm yummy.. Tastes way sweeter.... as if ders golden syrup in it... And strong banana taste goes... I can tolerate it better this way... Have a gr8 Monday guys!!
 
Hi all!

My Shakes just arrived, but I am going to start them tomorrow AM as I already had some special K this morning and want to start as I mean to go on!

I have some questions and worries though:

What else can I eat during the day if I get hungry? I'm very worried about the first 3 days as I hear they're meant to be the worse. I saw Celery is a good one, which I love so that's a bonus.. and to drink lots of water. Is there anything else besides Celery I can grab as a quick fix if I'm hungry?

Also I'm due to go to a pub quiz this week.. and with it being within my first 3 days of starting my Shakes, I am worried about what I can drink there? I know water is one choice but is there anything else at the pub I can drink without worrying? I'm not an alcohol drinker anyway so that's not a problem. I just wondered if there was another alternative as to be honest it's rare I go to the pub and this is only the start of the new year and me socialising more... So I'm not 100% on what drinks they even sell there! :confused:

Lastly... Family meal is due in just 2 weeks for a birthday celebration! Any ideas on what are good starters/mains that are widely available at restaurants?
 
Hi smuffin, welcome to the board, :). If i am hungry i have either a bouillon (a powder stock made with boiling water into a cup a soup) or a glass of ribena plus sugar free, which is nice hot or cold. if u are really starving and can't wait, have some protein, like a small bit of chicken/fish etc. just keep off the carbs, in any form.

Re having a drink whilst out, i know u can have coke zero, but don't think they sell that in pubs, sorry. why don't u have some sparkling water with some lemon in? (not sure that a slice of lemon would harm to much? or take some squash with u to add to the water. when u go out for a meal, have chicken/plain fish with some salad/ veg not to sure re starters, as don't have any sorry. hope that helps?
 
Thanks so much for responding Jeanette! :) Chicken is my fave so that will be easy for the meal :) I usually have prawn salad for a start, but not so sure on the prawns?

This is my last resort after I've tried diet chef over 2 years now and bought a treadmill, Vibration plate, exercise bike and Davinas mini exercise bike. I'm pray this one works!! Lol
 
vlcd's do work, i've lost 5st 2.5lb since end of may. I've had 4 weeks holiday in that, and came off it at the begining of dec, as had a lot planned re xmas, meals and drinks etc :D put 14lb on in a month, but that was prob wine and choc :( and not really that mad on choc either. Just because in the house:( so all in all had prob 8 weeks break total. I'm on exante now, started on shake that weight, then changed because needed more choice, at the moment am loving porridge, bars, soups and meals (spag bolog, and shepherds pie etc) as well as shakes.

My weights been a bit yo yo for a while now. When I started diet chef originally 2 years ago I was 13 stone 8. I then went down to 12 stone 13 but became bored of the Diet Chef meals. So I gave it a break and went off the idea of dieting all together.. I started my Diet chef again at the start of November 2013 as I'd shot up to 14 stone 6lb. I did 6 weeks diet chef and got down to 13 stone 1.. Then with Christmas ended back to 13 stone 6. I just did 2 weeks diet chef as I had some spare to get rid of, and am now back at 13 stone 1 as of weighing this morning.

My shakes only just arrived today after I'd already had breakfast so I've decided tomorrow I will wake up, do my weigh in and use that as my start point.. and see where I am come next Tuesday.

My problems always been a case of I don't eat enough, eat at the wrong times and don't exercise enough, I used to never eat breakfast or lunch and was only eatting evening meals and then odd bits and bobs in the evening. So hopefully being able to have a shake at 8am, 12pm and 3pm then having a meal around 6ish when I finish work I will not find this too difficult to stick to. Diet chef is ok and I did lose with it... but its the same old over and over again and I got sick of it within a month so trying to stick to it was a nightmare.

I've tried the lot, even Zumba and now I'm at me wits end lol. Glad to hear it does work and well done on your huge loss! You've done brilliant. I'm only 5ft1 so need to loose a good 3-4 stone to be in my BMI healthy zone.
