Anyone tried or is doing shake that weight vlcd?

Morning everyone, a nice day here, hope its the same where u all are?
Hav had a headache since friday :( not sure if its the diet, as i always hav a headache when starting a vlcd, as its over one eye (i hav these, which are a type of migraine, but not too severe ) also came home with a slight head cold, so feeling a little sorry for myself :( on a brighter note hav dropped another 2lb :D so hav now lost 15lb since wed :eek:

Awh Jeanette hope you're feeling better. I have a bit of a fuzzy head too but it's totm and I have a headcold so it's nothing I wouldn't expect tbh.
Weighed today and im -4lb and the lightest I've been in years woowooo! Can't wait to see the numbers on the scale this Friday.
Glad to be off work tomorrow aswell so hopefully I have a good handle on this all before Tuesday.
Still having lumpy issues in cold shakes but I have a blender arriving on tuesday/wednesday :) had the vanilla one hot last night and was delicious!!

Hi Hanngun, glad ur doing so well, and 4lb down so far is great going :D know what u mean re being the lightest as well, as this time last year was 6.5 st heavier and was a size 24/26 am now a size 16 :D can't remember being that size ever lol. hope u have a good bank holiday.

The blender will make a huge difference, add some ice to the blender first to crush, as it makes the shake lovely and creamy. also i added some cinnamon to the shake, and that was lush as well. some people add coffee :eek: to theirs, but i can't stand coffee so :D. was also wondering about the food flavouring u can buy? praps u could add a few drops of them to the vanilla?

I think the vanilla one is like white chocolate kinda. Yummy
 
Thanks, yes blitz the ice till its crushed and then the water and powder. u will have to try the amount of u like, try 7 cubes to start, then minus or add till u get the right consistency. i have added a tsp of choc powder (low cal) naughty i know, but one now and again won't harm.
 
Hey Jeanette.. Glad 2 hear u enjoyed Ur hols... And well done on dropping SO many lbs in d space of a few days... Totally inspiring 4 us all!!
Im still exercising loads.. Still trying 2 shift a stone ... Back on food, gave packs a rest but have dem stored away if I don't succeed!!
 
Benidorm? Only out of season, as its very built up. I go because its nice and warm this time of year, and only 2 hours away. Wouldnt go for summer hols.
Are u just watching the calories? Why not do 5 : 2 diet? U can use ur packs up for that as well.

Hello All how are you all doing? hope you have all had a good bank holiday weekend. Ive been lucky to have had 4 days off so been busy sorting out the garden which has kept me busy.
diet is going well ive been on it 9 weeks now and ive lost 1 stone 9 pounds so start of week 10 today for me. Going to give it a big push these new few weeks and really want to hit that 2 stone mark.
 
Hi jayne, ur going great :D, i'm losing the weight i put on hols at the moment :rolleyes: hope next week to get under the nxt stone into the 12's (dont think so but can hope lol)

Everyone's doing well! I been on and off should still get a small loss this week! My OH is gonna try shakes from tomorrow, he's not big but changed jobs to a not so active one so he's put in a little! Should make it easier if we're both doing it!! Me hopes x
 
Agree with you Tara easier when you're not going it alone. Tbh I'm never hungry just peckish sometimes but it's getting it into your head that eating isn't an activity.
 
afternoon everyone, hope u all have had a good day? have not been to bad today, had my bar at 11, (was going to have first meal at 12.30 but was starving lol) then porridge at 3pm, so will have a meal pack at 7pm. only thing off plan was a small slice of chicken, so................if i can survive tonite i will be ok, for a weigh in tomoro :D
 
Im back at work so breakfast has to be between 7 30 and 8 30.

Had todays meal as eggs and turkey breast at lunch at 3.

Had a choc shake at 7 planning to end the day like this but have another shake for the evening if needs be.

Really tired after being in work today :( think I'm in ketosis though as have funny taste in my mouth and no appetite
 
Yep that sounds like Ketosis, have you weighed yet or are you gonna wait till Friday?
 
Im 7lb down as of yesterday. Couldn't resist haha

I weighed as well (official weigh day lol :D) and lost 15 lb :eek: so am now only 2lb from pre holiday weight. Most of that must hav been water gain?

Hi All

Been reading through various posts and gaining some inspiration. My start day is tomorrow and really want to succeed this time. Never tried these shakes but did lighterlife a number of years ago. Thing I found hardest was not having a wee drink with hubby or when socialising. Are there any safer options for alcohol (just 1 or 2) that wont harm weightloss or is it a no go xx
 
Well done both of you, good losses! I been sticking to plan so feeling happy!

Welcome Martine and good luck for tomorrow!! I really wish I was a fun 'sober' but I'm not so I stick to vodka and soda! I don't think it affects weight loss it's the following day that I struggle and then end up making bad food decisions! My advise would be not to plan too much in the first few weeks!

Hi Martine good luck for your first day. I'm coming up to the end of my first week. I've decided to just leave alcohol for 8 weeks, hopefully I stick to it!


Does anyone have any specific short or long term goals your aiming for? Obviously we're all here to shift weight but what are your motivators?

As I said before I'm off to Egypt at the wnd of June. Beyond that I've been on a weightloss journey for about 6 months with slimming world and I'm using shake that weight to speed things up. Want to have lost around 4 stone by Christmas this year so I can set a target weight and choose a diet plan to get me there and keep me there.
