arrrggggghhhh - what is going on??

I suspects your muscles were holding water which is what happens when you ramp up the exercise! If you have lost inches don't worry too much it'll fall off the next time you weigh in :)

I hope so. to be on the safe side I'm going to ramp up the superfood intake this week. hopefully that'll make a difference.

i've eaten loads of eggs this week - could that have a negative impact do you think??

No, eggs should not have any impact on your loss, they are after all a free food.

Eggs shouldn't have a negative impact, nothing on the free food list should have a bad effect unless of course you have a food intolerance.
SW wouldn't let eggs be free if that were the case. (btw I eat loads of eggs!)
Don't look for a reason, you've stuck to plan chick - it's one of those things.

I think I'm just trying to rationalize things. {sigh} i guess I just need to except it and move on. I'm a moany cow today (moo!!)

I think it is definate the exercise and don't think you have gained any fat, but gained muscle. When anyone starts exercise they will see a weight gain, but eventually once your system gets used to it it will start to even out and you will see the loss. You may not of lost anything in weight, but you might well of done in inches, do you measure yourself as well?

I lost an inch from my bust, my thighs, my hips and my upper arms. no change to my waist. But TBH I think I'll hold off from doing exercise until I get nearer my goal weight.

The problem with me is that I go all out - and at one point last week I did over 2 hours in exercise - including handweights - in 1 session. To go from nothing to that must have shocked my system.

I wanted to get under 15 stone before my hols next month - but with the gain I think that's unlikely now and I don't want to have unrealistic expectations.

Hi,

A few weeks back I had exactly the same thing happen, a gain of 2.5lbs for no reason.

My consultant says you can never have too much fruit (unless you're making yourself eat when you're not hungry), drink lots & lots of water & she says fat free yogurts are amazing as low fat dairy breaks down fat (which I didn't know).

She also suggested to me to change my cereal every week or two as our body gets too used to it. Hope that helps x

Also.....I gained that 2.5lbs tha day before going to Cuba for 2 weeks, I ate ok-ish (obv not SW style) but I drank so much alcohol every night & when I came back I'd lost 6.5lbs so maybe you too need some sort of kick-start!!?? (not that I'm suggesting a drink binge!!) ;-)

i'll try a new cereal as you suggest - but i'm already eating loads of fruit and yoghurt / fromage frais. may have to try drinking the water tho.

hi again

if I post my food diary for last week, can someone have a look and see if it's okay - that i was doing it right, just incase I've gone astray.
