ProPoints Azwethinkweiz (Sarah)s new food diary!

Desk giggles... I'm always at that! ;) I think these people think I'm a bit mental. Suppose if I mentioned leprechauns getting into me jam jars that'd validate the point! x

You dont wanna move here love, I love Ireland but I think our accents are pretty dire lol! Anyway, it rains all the time and we're all drunk and the leprechauns get into your jam jars ;) x

Oooh, well Manc always rains .. and i like leprechauns .. and guiness :D lol

I feckin' hate guinness LOL!! i can't drink "a pint o' the black stuff" at all at all!
you might be disappointed that there are actually no leprechauns. I'll dress me dog up like one for ya! She's small & cute lol ;) x

Oooooo, now im sad :sigh: i imagined little ginger men dressed in green doin a jig with a pot of gold - i imagined rainbows everyday ( daaaamn ) .........

Oh God Guinness is RANK!! I've only ever tried it once and I doubt i'll ever be trying it again..

This made me laugh so much. Especially the rainbows bit! LMFAO!! It reminded me of that video on youtube of the guy going nuts over the rainbow? yosemitebear was his user name I think. "Double rainbow all the way across the sky-yyy! What does this meeeean?" LOL xx

Do u say 'tree' insted of 3 ? i love that !

Also to clarify Claire.. We dont go around saying "to be sure to be sure" as all my cousins in Rochdale seem to believe!!! lol
Ah Frances. Unfortunately, I've heard this said MANY times. its like we're from two different worlds. ;) Dublin is too advanced for us simple folk to be sure to be sure at all at all LOL!!

Really?? Maybe its a country thing??!!
Dublin really is like another country to the rest of Ireland tho.. Like, when I go stay in my friends in Gorey (Wexford) we share taxi's with random ppl and pay a fiver a head to town say.. Ya'd never get that in Dublin!!!

One .. two .. tree ... I LOVE IT :D

If i'm chatting to mates I think I say 'tree' but if I'm on the phone in work I say "three" and I make a conscious effort to say "three" when chatting to any of my relatives in Rochdale coz they always take the mick!!

Awwww, i love it :D deffo wouldnt take the mick ;)

Yeah I have to make a conscious effort to say "three" too! When I'm at home, my real accent comes out lol. Raw as feck haha!
I think it is a country thing yeah (even though I'm not from "the country", I live in a town). I mostly hear older folks say it. Never hear anything like that in Dublin. Dubs make fun of my northern/culchie accent :( :( Dubs can be meeeeean *sniff*
Ah you wouldnt share a taxi here either hon, too many weirdos. Prob depends on the area. i certainly wouldnt get in a taxi in Dublin with some stranger though lol... and Dublin defo is far dearer than anywhere else for taxis... and everything else! ;)

Awww.. not all Dubs are mean.. I'm lovely... :'( But yes i agree.. Sum Dubs can very scary.. And I'm saying that as a Dub.. I do crap myself sometimes walkingn thru town.. Very scary place!! Certainly wouldn't be going thru town on my own esp. at night time!!
Not a hope would I share a cab with a stranger here OR would I get in one in my own!!
And I agree we are dearer for I'd say almost everymost everything here!! Its almost a fiver before we even get in a taxi.. That's just for stopping it!! But it also depends where in Dublin you are what the prices will be like.. Southside is more expensive than (Most parts of) Northside..

Glad to hear you're a friendly dub! You won't make fun of my accent will you?! :)
Ah i visit Dublin a lot hon, its only an hour away. love a good shopping trip there. My 2 sisters both live and work in Dublin as well so I always have a place to lay my head if I go down. one of my sisters lives in Castleknock which is northside I think?! and the other in Lucan which is to the west I think? I could be completely off here LOL!

Castleknock would be classed as a 'posh' area.. Not cheap at all! Renting there would be prob one of the more expensive areas.. Lucan would be County Dublin.. Almost back out into the 'country' there.. Lol..
No I wouldn't slag your accent.. I'm nice :D .. In fairness.. I don't think Dubs can slag anyone's accent!! For instance allot of Dubs would say "amn't i" as in "amn't I on WW" for instance... or another one I get slagged for Dubs saying (I dont!) "in anyway..." Ppl would need a Dublin dictionary to come here...

i love the southern accent no matter what part.....x
