Desk giggles... I'm always at that!
I think these people think I'm a bit mental. Suppose if I mentioned leprechauns getting into me jam jars that'd validate the point! x
You dont wanna move here love, I love Ireland but I think our accents are pretty dire lol! Anyway, it rains all the time and we're all drunk and the leprechauns get into your jam jarsx
This made me laugh so much. Especially the rainbows bit! LMFAO!! It reminded me of that video on youtube of the guy going nuts over the rainbow? yosemitebear was his user name I think. "Double rainbow all the way across the sky-yyy! What does this meeeean?" LOL xxOooooo, now im sad :sigh: i imagined little ginger men dressed in green doin a jig with a pot of gold - i imagined rainbows everyday ( daaaamn ) .........
Ah Frances. Unfortunately, I've heard this said MANY times. its like we're from two different worlds. Also to clarify Claire.. We dont go around saying "to be sure to be sure" as all my cousins in Rochdale seem to believe!!! lol

Ah Frances. Unfortunately, I've heard this said MANY times. its like we're from two different worlds.Dublin is too advanced for us simple folk to be sure to be sure at all at all LOL!!
I do say "tree" instead of "three" hon yes lol. People are always pointing that out to me. I'm trying me best 'eeeere!!
Yeah I have to make a conscious effort to say "three" too! When I'm at home, my real accent comes out lol. Raw as feck haha!
I think it is a country thing yeah (even though I'm not from "the country", I live in a town). I mostly hear older folks say it. Never hear anything like that in Dublin. Dubs make fun of my northern/culchie accent![]()
Dubs can be meeeeean *sniff*
Ah you wouldnt share a taxi here either hon, too many weirdos. Prob depends on the area. i certainly wouldnt get in a taxi in Dublin with some stranger though lol... and Dublin defo is far dearer than anywhere else for taxis... and everything else!![]()
Glad to hear you're a friendly dub! You won't make fun of my accent will you?!
Ah i visit Dublin a lot hon, its only an hour away. love a good shopping trip there. My 2 sisters both live and work in Dublin as well so I always have a place to lay my head if I go down. one of my sisters lives in Castleknock which is northside I think?! and the other in Lucan which is to the west I think? I could be completely off here LOL!
