BAD HEADACHES!!

ok so for the past 2 weeks i have been really rundown with one thing after another going off with my health but now i am suffering from really really bad heads :sigh: and i finally think i know the cause: CHOCOLATE!!!! i love the stuff and this week i have been so bad with it, i have had way too much and i mean too much lol so i am gonna have to try my best to give it up but its so hard but i managed to give up all bad foods when i did the very strict meal replacement diet last year so hopefully i can do it with chocolate!!!! i feel i have given up a hell of alot, i dont even drink alcohol anymore and i am quite strict with my other foods and i stil struggle with weight losses, obviously i know that this weeks reasoning for possibly a rubbin weigh in 2moro but i aint always like this lol oh well things can only get better hey :)

A friend of mine used to be a vegan and ate tons of dark chocolate and got really bad migraines all the time. GP told her to cut the chocolate out & she's been fine since! X

chocolate does something similar to me, as does coffee and cheese. great reason to cut it out though!

Sweets and choc give me headaches too, I think it's the sugar tbh.
Have you tried very dark chocolate? Green and Blacks for example, high cocoa solids and lower sugar may be better if you have to have choccie.

I got really!!! bad Headachs the first week of starting SW! I think mine was the oposite..by body was in shock of lack of sugar! thankfully they pasted mid second week x x

Chocolate is one of the triggers for migraines, so it could well be that. But if cutting it out (or down) doesn't solve the problem, then you need to check with your doctor and/or your optician, to see if there is anything wrong.

Agreed with jaylou, I eat the Green & Blacks 70% cocoa, it's really quite tasty if a little strong and it doesn't bring on head aches like chocolate used to.

thats the one chocolate i hate lol so def wont be trying it, thanks for the tip tho, i am def gonna stop choc alltogether its just not worth it anymore xx

thanks for the advice, i am gonna see how things go over this coming week, i'm having no chocolate at all anymore and if i am still getting bad heads i will def go me my doctor xx

When i first started SW i suffered severe headaches every day for nearly 2 weeks solid.
I had never experienced this before.
I tried ruling everything out from sweetners to choc and even pineapple as i was eating a lot of it. But the headaches continued after ruling them out.

Thankfully after 2 weeks the headaches disappeared just as suddenly as they had started.
I think it was just my bodys way of reacting to getting rid of all the rubbish i had been putting in it over the years.

Hopefully this is just the same for you and you can still have your choc as a treat, especially if choc has not affected you in this way before until you started the diet.

Good luck, i hope the headaches subside very soon.;)
