Bbq help

    Have just ordered my first 4 week starter pack and want to get started As soon as it arrives and now my mother in law has invited me to a BBQ in Sunday. I don't want to mess up my first week but can't not go and I can't not eat anything so what do I do? There will be plenty of salad so I can fill up on that but just worried about messing up my first week

    Hi, I've just done my first week and I had a piece of seabass lastnight with loads of salad. I had my weigh in today and lost 9lbs. If I were you, I'd make some chicken kebabs with lean chicken cubes, mushrooms, some peppers (not too much as they're higher in carbs) and courgettes. Stick to two maximum and have lots of salad. If you're careful with your portion size then you probably won't go over 300cals. Alternatively, Sainsbury and M&S do some nice prepared ones in packs. Just be cautious of carb content, try and keep it as low as possible so it doesn't affect ketosis. I can't see it causing a great difference, as long as it doesn't become a regular thing. Hope this helps.

    Thank you that's really helpful and thanx for the heads up on peppers, I never realised these were high in carbs and I love then so would of eaten lots without realising

    You're welcome. They're not very high, but mushrooms are much better; onions are also quite high too. Hope your first week goes well.
