beef mince

I know all mince apart from extra lean have syns. But does this take into account once the mince is drained of fat to within an inch of its life? Might seem like a silly question. thanks in advance

I used to drain my 'dry fried' mince, cover it with really cold water & skimm off the fat globs - I'd then treat it as free & maintained losses each week.

I always use lean steak mince and drain the fat cause extra lean is not always easy to come by and it's very expensive. It's never stopped me loosing. I remember slimming world when any mince was ok and i lost every week then too.

The syn values quoted assume that you have removed all visible fat. Unfortunately no amount of rinsing or draining can turn lean mince into syn free mince xx
