Calories and Propoints

Hi All,

I was wondering if somebody could possibly help me.

I have been calorie counting recently and have been allocated 1,560 calories per day to lose 2lb a week.

I have always followed weight watchers but have struggled with propoints, so thought I would work out my calorific intake on propoints and if I go by the 40 cal per propoint rule, then I worked out my intake as the following;

53 Propoints x 40 calories = 2,120 calories per day.

Am I doing this right and if I am, is this the reason why I am not sucessful with Propoints.

Somebody please help me

I may be well of the track here but wouldnt it be 39 pp??

1560 calories devided by 40 (calories per point) = 39pp

Different people lose weight at different rates. I have found my sweet spot of 35 propoints a day and am steadily losing weight - got over 10 stone to lose though!
Keep at it and you will get there!

Weight watchers say 1 -2lbs a week, approx 7 lbs a month, though men may lose more
