Hi all!

Is there anyone out there who can tell me exactly what i can eat on the 1500 plan? I know i will need to weigh and measure(which i hate, but its only for a while), but what foods am i allowed? Gonna work down the plans to ss over the next week or so, starting on Wed this week. (Thanks for the advice Lesly:)). Its my birthday on Tuesday, so i will have a blowout first!;)

Summary from my copy of yellow book (but they're may have been changes since)
  • 1 Cambridge meal
  • 426ml skimmed milk
  • 4pts fluid, which can include milk, water, zero cal squash/carbonates/mixers, tea, coffee, herbal teas.
  • Breakfast of 300cal
  • Lunch of 350 cal plus 50cal fruit
  • Dinner of 350cal plus dessert of 150cal
  • Snack of 100cal
Can be tweaked to have a lighter breakfast, and adjust lunch or dinner accordingly.

You really need the books as they give good guidance as to what types of food should be considered and the GI levels. There's also a few recipes to try. I stuck rigidly to the recipes for a week when i moved up just to get a feel for it, before i tried to invent my own recipes and continued to apply the low GI principles. It often seems like a huge amount of food...... its lovely! xx
