cambridge diet, SS please be careful, I was on it
I don't think anyone on here will like what i have to say, but I am worried about what the cambridge diet.
I am mainly talking about SS/SS+
Please be very careful, its not good to have that little food. I really don't think it can be good for you.
I am convinced it wrecks your metabolism so you end up going back on to cambridge. I may be wrong but certainly it doesnt address any eating issues, well it didnt for me.
If like me you finish cambridge and go back to old ways you will gain weight.
To sustain the weight loss takes alot of will power and if you haven't changed your eating habits you will put weight back on.
I was reading about the effects of starvation and they are quite similar to common side effects of cambridge.
It can't be good for you. If you really are that hungry then you should eat something healthy.
I think if you want to eat an apple you should eat an apple.
If a friend wanted to do cambridge I would not recommend shakes only. I would recommend 810 or at a push maybe do SS+ (3 shakes and a small meal) for a short time then up to 810.
I really don't think its good for you to only have liquid meals. (or 1 small bar)
I lost 2.5 stone over 3 months and was really pleased.
But now I have put most of it back on.
Was it worth nearly starving myself for? No
I am doing things differently now.
Of course its my fault i've put weight back on, and I shouldn't blame the diet but looking back there are things that concern me about it.
Of course if you are doing CD you will defend and justify it, just all I ask is please please please be very careful and don't be surprised if you have an insatiable appetite/food obsession/start putting on weight when you finish.
A diet that puts you off eating fruit and veg isn't that great.
I am determined not to go back on CD, I don't want to be caught in a cycle of relying on the cambridge lady.
I don't want to ruin anyones day but please take note, doing CD SS is very drastic, and should be considered a last resort.
Please be careful!!
