Camcorders...Advice please

Hey guys,

Do you own a camcorder?
Are you happy with it?
Would you recommend it?

I need to get one for our holibobs in February but there are so many out there and i'm kinda a little lost.

I know that it MUST have expandable memory (through a card of some sort) ideally have a intergrated memory for overflow, and i have a max budget of £250

Oh, also the software that comes with it needs to be Mac compatible.

God sorry pixie not a clue - we have an oldddddddddd camcorder that never gets used but would love a new one for ours in April.
