    Hi all
just wondered why we are not allowed fruit teas - I'm struggling to understand why something containing 2 calories could possibly knock you out of ketosis ? Unless it's a citric acid issue ? Surely you would have to be very sensitive ?

I think it is the acid, guess it depends how sensitive you are.

I think you should try it and see how you get on. I have a glass of diet coke everyday (which is not allowed strictly speaking), I'm sure it's not affected my ketosis or my rate of weight loss.

it's odd how it varies from person to person....I can have a couple of glasses of coke zero daily and be fine. Might give fruit teas a go.

Youll be fine though with Coke Zero, it doesnt have citric acid so it doesnt affect ketosis

With fruit teas I think it's the citric acid. My sister had problems last year with them as they left her feeling hungry all the time, didn't seem to affect her weight loss though.
