Can I come in?

I currently have a months worth of exante to get through but have ordered the slim and save meals and my goodness! I am sure this diet (s&s) is too good to be true?!

Anywhoo, I am combining the two until exante runs out then I will be a full slim and save convert. I am really worried that combining will affect my losses but this time around doing just shakes and cereal bars is making me want to chew my arm off!

So even though I am on exante and my diary is in the exante section I wondered if you could all welcome me into the increasingly getting smaller bosom of the slim and save boards?

:D

Welcome! You'll soon be a fully fledged S&Ser. Many ex Exante converts over here :)

You'll be fine combining. You can either do whole days of one particular plan (easiest) or you can use the following rules to keep in ketosis...

1. Have a maximum of around 60g of carbs a day.
2. Stick to 650 calories a day (more if you want to but losses will be a bit lower).
3. Have a minimum of 50g of proetin a day.

Also, if you're combining I would consider taking a multivitamin. A pregnancy one is best because they have no vitamin A and too much vitamin A can be really bad for you.

Hey jools, I've heard some horror stories about exante! As long as its vlcd you're doing you should be fine mixing your packs. If I were you of listen to Weasey, she's a fully fledged skinny minny!!

You are! I saw photos of you before and after and I didn't even realise you were the same person!!!

AND I've ordered the Dukan book as I read your posts about maintaining and Dukan sounds like the healthiest option (for me anyway, need to stay away from those refined carbs for 99% of the time)

Dukan is really interesting. I also have a good book on low GL - mine is for diabetics but a lot of the advice is good for everyone and the author also does books for low GL in general - Patrick Holford. His book is excellent.

Glycemic Load - the combination of food with different GI - for example, having fruit with yogurt reduces the GL of the fruit because the protein in the yogurt slows down digestion and so reduces the sugar high (and following low) which the fruit wold otherwise produce. Sugar low leads to carb cravings...
