Can you actually imagine being your goal weight?

I'm currently 14.6, goal is around 11.7 and even that is apparently top end weight for my height. I seriously can't imagine ever being that weight, or more to the point the size that would come with it!

Does anyone else have this issue?

    Hi Lisa!
18 months ago I went from 15 stone to 10 stone (only to put it all back on) but at the time, according to those charts I had another one and a half stone to lose......incredible. I am 5ft 4" and was wearing size ten clothes yet was still being told I could lose more....seriously. You should ignore them and just lose enough to weight to make you feel comfortable. I've lost 25lbs with LT fingers crossed Ill get back to my ten stone again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck with your weight loss :)

    Hi Lisa,

I know exactly what you mean, I was like that and only now can I slowly start 'seeing' myself as a small girl...if you know what I mean. I was always a size 16-18 and now I'm down to a 12! Still feel like I'm 'fat' but smaller fat...strange like I still have my tummy and fat arms but they are a bit smaller...I'm still away away from my goal but slowly I think I'll come around to actually accepting I'm as small as the next woman I see. This diet isn't very difficult to me yet and I am so spurred on by losing the lbs each week. You see it now as so far away but really you will see results so soon. I think mini-goals are a good idea too...like getting into the 13 stones and into size 14 or something like that.
Keep up this diet, it is great but don't cheat or it doesn't really work well!! The 1st week is the worst but if you have willpower you can do it!
    Best of luck xxx

Hi - I started last week at over 21 stone and you're asking if I can see myself at goal?! God no! I have been so overweight for so blimmin' long! I was looking at piccies of me age 17/18 and I am slim and healthy. I just can't picture myself 10 years later being slim again. The chart says I need to be 10 and a half stone - basically I need to lose over 10 stone to get to their idea of a goal. My goal is a size 14 on my bottom half (my bum is huge and always has been) - once I am there I may change my mind and wish to be smaller but for now that's my aim.

Thanks! So glad its not just me!!

The other thing, and this may sound completely insane, is that I don't think of myself as huge, that is until I see a picture of myself and then I'm repulsed. I literally plod about day by day not thinking about how fat I am until I catch a glimpse of myself. Does that sound crazy??

Not at all! I am always so shocked when I see myself in a picture because in my head I'm not this size! I go around every day with a thin person in my head so find myself amazed when I can't fit through a small gap, or a tight chair or I see myself in a shop window. Strange huh?! x

    Hi Lisa,

I'm sure you are not huge but I know what you mean about your size not always being at the forefront of your mind. It was only sometimes when someone posted a pic of me on facebook or I got a glimpse of myself in a mirror or a widow that I was horrified....I used to cover that feeling up with stuffing my face. It helped but didn't if you understand that my h2b was so supportive and told me I was beautiful whatever weight I was. It wasn't until I went wedding dress shopping that I realised I had to do something. I was determined not to be a big bride, I didn't want my dress to be 'flattering' I wanted to look sexy! I ordered it in a size 10 and decided I would be a size 10 one way or the other. I'm on week 11 now and I haven't cheated once and I'm proud of myself.
I wish you all the very best and you will start feeling fanatstic when your clothes start getting looser xxx
