Just wanted to set up a thread for myself so I can keep track of how good/bad I'm doing on LT.
It's going to be my diary, so i can keep track of how my moods were/are and the weight loss.
Fingers crossed I can keep going to target.
On Sunday night (day 4 of LT) I so nearly gave in to temptation. I actually had half a sausage in my hands ready to eat before I said to myself I couldn't give in on the first week... so, was well proud of myself the following day, even though it was torture watching everyone eating my fave foods all around me.

    anyhoo, here are my stats:
    Age: 31
    starting weight: 12st 13lbs
    week1 weigh-in: 12st 6lbs (just on day 6 cos can't do weigh-in tomo).

    goal weight: 10st 7lbs

Now, i have a wedding in 5 weeks, so plan on doing a refeed after week 4, so that i don't do too much damage and am ready to go back on LT afterwards.

CANNOT STAND the chicken soup:sign0137:, and vanilla isn't great either. So, i'm sticking to strawberry and choc, which i actually find a bit tasty, so that eases the pain aswell.. ;)

bring on the weight loss, i say!!!
    LOL

Caz, well done on the loss!!! I've just started today, and god it's hard, i'm so hungry and can't stop thinking of food, so my admiration goes to all who have managed to keep it up.

I don't know if being almost vegetarian has retrained my taste buds, but I actually have found the shakes very tasty, so far have had vanilla and chocolate. Will try strawberry tonight. I didn't know you could set up when to re-feed, do you negotiate that with the pharmacist? I thought they'd simply say at some point, ok, you're done, time to become normal again! lol

thanks a mill girls... was soo chuffed with myself yesterday!
mapcr77 - well done on taking the first step... yeah, it's tough for the first few days, but I promise you it gets easier.
And luckily for you, you think the shakes are tasty... that's half the battle. On day 1, i was gagging with every mouthful, but now I find the choc and strawberry tasty even!!

it's soo worth it girl - wait till you weigh in next week, that's gonna make you even more motivated to keep going...

As for refeed - yes, the chemist told me that i can do a refeed in preparation for the wedding (as it will be before my goal weight is reached) and then afterwards I can go back on the LT. Unfortunately, she said that I shouldn't go back on LT straight away after LT - don't know why that is, and that's why I've decided to do the refeed, and not tell them, so I can go straight back into LT until I reach my goal.
I have the refeed plan document so know what I need to do to prep the body for the wedding meal.
Actually, there's a question - does anyone know why the chemist would not recommend going back on LT straight away after a refeed?

No idea to be honest Caz. I recently went for a hen weekend and didnt re-feed but just ate healthally (apart from the beer whoops) and I still lost 1lb. I started LT again on the Monday and had no problems.

thanks for that Rachel... do you think then that I shouldn't bother with refeed, just allow myself that one day off and go straight back? I had thought about that, but I thought that would scupper everything on me. But if you can show weight loss after a weekend away, I'm thinking what's the point in doing refeed when I'm going to go straight back on the LT anyway...

Hi Caz, I know Bea also had some food when she went on holiday and I dont think she did refeed before or after, and she was fine! I dont really see a need to do it myself...

....... and then there are others who would say that you def need to do a re-feed. I am obviously not an expert and this is only my opinion (and Elles) but for one meal I wouldnt bother and just make sure you are strict with yourself and go straight back on again. Thats what I did and I was ok with that becuase I knew I was doing that before I went away.

Well actually I must admit to not doing refeed when I was away for a weekend, I just ate sensibly.....steer away from all carbs, if you stick to protein you should get away with it more.

great stuff girls... thanks for that..
    :D

well, I was soo chuffed with myself this morning.. Day 2 of Week 2 and I put on a pair of jeans that would normally have a roll of fat hanging over the sides. They FIT me  .... oh hallelujah... i had only really seen the difference in weight loss on the scales, I hadn't really seen it in myself, but as soon as I put them on this morning, I thought... whoop whoop, I can't believe it.... There's no other diet that would have made me feel like that in just over a week...
oh, this is bloody brilliant... :D
wish i'd found it earlier now!!

    Hi Everyone,

Had my weigh in today and lost 9|bs 3ozs in my first week. So pleased, it really does give you motivation to keep going when you find out how much weigh you've lost, and believe me i have really struggled this week, i don't know why my boyfriend hasn't packed his bags i've been that vile. Oh well keep going everyone, oh by the way, i only have chocolate and strawberry to, i've also been told i can have celery so i have a little in the evening.
