CD costs

I don't think the consultant is authorised to charge for spending a little bit of time with you. Surely that is part of her job? I realise that it can be embarrassing to 'make a fuss' but this £22.99 charge strikes me as a bit of a con. I have never heard of anyone charging for visits. Honestly for your own sake as well as for the sake of her other customers present and future you need to inform Cambridge Head Office.

You can do it anonymously if you are nervous about any fallout. At least ask them (anonymously!) if it is usual or even permitted for a consultant to charge for seeing you in person. It seems to me like she is abusing her position and maybe breaching her contract? Not sure but either way it's wrong and pure greed.

i remember ringing up head office a couple of years ago when i was getting extreme difference in prices.
I was told consultants were given guidelines to prices they could charge, if they were travelling to you they could charge petrol costs and when you first start they can charge 'admin' costs to cover the paperwork.

anyone can ring up head office and enquire you don't have to give your name
