cdc sponsor what does that mean ?

hi can anyone tellme what it means when your cdc 'sponsors' you to be a counsellor. My counsellor is lovely, really great and approachable but shes away so i thought id ask on here please

Hi Netty!
Sponsoring is nothing to be afraid of! It simply means your cdc will support and guide you through applying and then training to become a councellor in your own right.
Your cdc will become your sponsor who is always there to help or advise you.
