I was up in the night with bloody vomiting and felt really knackered this morning even though I'd stopped being sick. I knew I had to eat something to line my stomach - I looked at a strawberry shake... I looked at the breadbin.... I looked back at the shake... and then put a piece of bread on my plate! A slice of buttered white bread later the need was satiated and luckily I didn't go for a second!

I've googled the carbs and calories in my slip up, and I'm just going to have a soup at lunch and shake in the evening (no bars today). I've no intention of beating myself up over it but instead I'm drawing a line under it and moving on.

That's not too bad in the great scheme of things. You could have had toast, cerea,l followed by a biscuit fest :). Probably only about the same amount of carbs as in the bars anyway so you probably haven't affected ketosis either. You can do nothing about the past, but you can influence the future so just concentrate on what you need to do going forward.

Don't tempt me ;) Yes, I was a little reassured when I looked up the amount of carbs in a slice of bread and compared it with a bar. True, it's not got the protein or nutrient factor - but as a one off it won't kill me. By the way, this is not an endorsement of replacing bars with toast lol!

You're not selling it to me anyway Lucy. I'd much rather have my choc truffa bar than a slice of toast :)
