Chilli Con Carne

My version of chilli tweaked from a recipe I had!
Serves 4

Frylight
1 medium onion, chopped
1-2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
500g extra lean beef mince
2 level tsp chilli powder
1 level tsp ground cumin
sprinkling of dried chilli flakes
400g tin thick cut tomatos
1 beef stock cube, dissolved in 200ml water
1 red pepper, deseeded & chopped
1-2 large fresh chillis, deseeded & chopped
1 tin baked beans
1 level tbsp cornflour (3.5 syns) but devided by 4 its roughly around 1 syn each person!

1- Fry the onion in frylight. Add the garlic & cook for 1 minute. Add the mince & cook til it browns.
2- Stir in the chilli powder & cumin & dried chilli flakes, red pepper & fresh chillis, then add the tomatos, beans & stock. Cover & simmer for 40 - 45 minutes.
3- Mix the cornflour with 2tbsp water & stir in. Simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Delicious served with rice or jacket potato & salad.
Perfect for freezing.
