You could probably swap the quorn for chicken on an EE day :)

Serves 4 -9 syns (2 & 1/4 per person)

  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 1 clove of garlic, crushed
  • rind & juice of 1 lemon
  • 400g quorn pieces
  • 1 tsp honey & hot water (1)
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (7)
  • Fry light
  • 2 tsp sweet chilli sauce (1)
  • Veg to stir fry (e.g mushrooms, peppers, onion, beansprouts etc)
  • Rice to serve

Method

Mix the egg, garlic & lemon rind together & add to the quorn pieces. Stir well & leave to marninate for 15 mins.
Add the cornflour to the quorn mixture & stir well until disolved.
Fry to quorn in a hot frying pan with the frylight until cooked through, add lemon juice & chilli sauce. Mix the honey in a bit of hot water and stir into the mixture.
Stir fry the mix of veggies in a seperate pan until cooked.
Serve with rice.

Hi Grumble :)

I bought the quorn pieces, veg, beansprouts etc today, then chickened out of the Chinese thing  Made a lovely stirfry instead using Nando's sweet chilli peri-peri marinade and chucked in some cashews too. It was really, really lovely. Thank you for the inspiration! :D x
