Christmas present thread

Oh I love that!!! I was thinking of getting Warrens dad some sweeties, as he's sweet mad!! So might give this a go. Fab idea :)

well they've sort of changed a bit now, I'm putting these on instead of a sweet bag, they'll fit, just, isn't it a fab idea, they are soooooooo easy to make as well. When my & DD went in the shop to buy our candy canes I opened the packet so we could measure them up against the 'sleigh' base!!!

Bet they turn out fab Michelle as you're so creative :) x

Those are lovely and could be used to put things other than sweets in too.

All I have bought so far is some flameless candles for daughter, an atlas globe for stepdad and a few choccy things for a couple of people.

Am getting a few more ideas now and Grandad was complaining if cold feet yesterday so am thinking a footwarmer for him and bits and pieces for kids and then money for them to get what they like now they are older.

I'm thinking I'll put nieces & nephews money in there & if space pop in a few chocs, but with DS, DD, etc I'll put in Christmas sweeties.

Oh you've got some good pressies there, the hardest part is knowing what to buy. My brother wants money again, he is upgrading his camera, his birthday is in Jan (same day as me), so I said I can give him Christmas & birthday money at the same time.

We're off on hols for 1 wk on Saturday, then when I get back I'll do most of my Christmas shopping that week, I'd like to get it all sorted asap, so I'm not stressing, I dislike, with a passion, shopping when the shops are full of people wandering round aimlessly!!!!

Hi everyone I've not been on here in months but just popped on to catch up only to see my old christmas thread at the top again :)
Hope everyone is well!
Christmas will be as easy as possible this year as we have just bought our first place together, literally exchanged yesterday and get the keys a week Monday so alongside wedding planning (4 months to go!) we are busy and skint!
Luckily all my family have asked for vouchers so that's easy peasy, I've got a new little nephew Max who's now 8 weeks old, along with his big brother Josh who's 2 1/2. Also my eldest brothers wife is due to give birth to their first son next week so I'll be up to 3 nephews by Christmas! Will be all about the kids this year! As I did for josh's first Christmas I'm planning to make them each a stocking, and I've painted them each a first Christmas little plaque to hang on the tree , so will fill stocking with little bits and bobs.
Mike and I will just get some stuff for the new flat and call it presents to each other, we've asked everyone else for argos vouchers so we can but new dinner service, Hoover etc so will just add to that! Oh and my parents are getting us a new microwave as ours packed up a few weeks ago.
Once the move is all done I will be properly in the Christmas spirit!
Need to get back to following slimming world too as I've well and truly slipped and with bad health for a few months I've not been able to go to the gym so need to get back on the straight and narrow so you'll be seeing me around here a bit more hopefully! X

Welcome back, Scarlett! Thanks for originally starting this thread too. It's great for picking up ideas and I'm sadly lacking in them atm!! :D Wow! You've been busy! How lovely - more babies! Good luck with the move - how exciting!! Exhausting too!

All the best, with everything!

Yay! Bought my first 'significant' present today, for my daughter. Got her the snowflake charm for her Pandora bracelet, which I got her a few years ago, so try to add to it every year. Bought it from the John Greed site, as they don't whack on an extra £5 for postage, like the Pandora site do. Still expensive but, a little saving, at least. Feel so much better now I've got one special present sorted! :D

Xmas has been made easier- we are going away for new year so have agreed to spend less on each other and on parents etc...
So far, I've got my son's presents- a Fisher Price newborn to toddler rocker, a pirate boat bath toy and lots of clothes :)
Hubby I'll get a bottle of his fave wine and a bar of choc and Oliver will get his daddy some socks :)
Really excited for Xmas and new year :)

After seeing sleighs on Jess's diary I copied her idea & these are mine, my nieces, nephews, DS, DD, sister, her partner & my brother will get one each.

I'm glad you like them. I've made lots for all the kiddies. I'm sure everyone will love them!

Glad I found this thread, need ideas!, x

Ok ladies so what do YOU want for Christmas? Hubby's asked me but I'm really stuck! Usual perfume and some trainers.....x

Hmm boots sound like a idea, I'm so stuck as I don't really want anything ! X

I've asked for gift vouchers so I can buy stuff when I actually need them!
And as my mum and hubby want me to have something to open, I've told them chocolate, wine and flowers are a winner! X

Me & OH get each other a stocking which will usually have in, candles, shampoo & conditioner (body shop), chocs, dried fruit, and he always buys me nice knickers & bra, (not for playtime) but for everyday, and we put money in the holiday pot.

Could you get him to put the money aside then until you do?

good idea.
