Considering JUDD

    Im considering coming over to JUDD soon, I'm currently on a vlcd for the second time around but really struggling this time, I can do 2 or 3 days easily then I eat for a day or 2 then back on the packs and I've lost 2lbs a week for the last 2 weeks, so without realising I'm sort of doing judd, I want to persevere with the vlcd but

    I want to continue with the vlcd but as I'm
    Finding it so difficult to stick to 100% I feel so crap when I don't have a 100% day.

    If I did judd I would like to do 4 dd a week and 3 up days, would I realistically be able to lose 2lbs a week doing this?

    Yes totally! 4 dd a week is a lot so I'm sure you'd see good losses. I'm doing mostly 5:2 so only 2 dd a week and lost 8lbs in nov, sts in dec due to having 2 weeks off, and so far lost 6 lbs in jan. Do you have much to lose?

    That's a brilliant loss in one month with only 2 dd, I weigh in on Mondays and was 12.10 yesterday but I'm very short 5ft2 so need to lose at least 3 stone, I'm on my 2nd day of my vlcd this week
    And il be fine untill tomorrow evening or Thursday when I just want food! I stuck to a vlcd previously for 12 weeks and it was sooo easy but struggle this time around.

    If you get into the alternate day routine it should give you the tools you need not to regain next time, that way you won't have to keep on re losing the same weight. At least thats what I hope will happen with me!

    Thank you for that advice, I think alternate down days will actually be better in the long run but I'm going to give it go haveing dd on mon,tue, thu, fri and up days on wed, sat, sun untill I get in the mid 11stones, I'm just so close at the moment to creeping back up into the 13stone bracket I want to get away from it. I'm gong to weigh in on Fridays so will get my start weight this Friday, I've tried to have a normal day of eating today but have eaten just over 1000 cals and feel stuffed!

    I started JUDDD two weeks ago and have lost 15 lb. I came to it from SW so I don't think much of it was water weight. I'm expecting it to slow down now but it works really well. I do alternate UD, DD too but have my DD from 5 pm - 5pm. That way I don't go to bed hungry. Good luck xx

    nyssa88 i could have written your post lol. i just started another attempt at slim and save, last a couple of days and then pig out before getting on track. been looking at juddd for ages now it just seems just a great way to lose weight. i also have been thinking about 4 dd and 3 uds, not sure what others think to this but dont think id lose much on 3 dd and 4 uds. ive had two days sns and gave in today so im classing this as my up. let us no how u get on :D x

    Wow that's s great loss, well done, I have read about the 24 hour dd from set times and will look into that later and thank you x

    It's soo hard second time around! I had a normal day of eating yesterday and didn't pig out asi know I can have what I want and that its not cheating. I'm definitely going to start with 4 dd and use shakes or slim fast on them, I know you can get quite a lot of food for your dd if you plan well but I still want to eliminate proper food on my dd until I'm comfortably in the 11 stone bracket.

    I'm having Saturday mornings as my weigh in days (it was mondays) so for this week so far I had Monday on s&s yesterday normal eating but only managed just over 1000 cals, today is an ud and I'm going to have tomorrow and Friday as s&s days.

    I'm going to start a diary on here today and have a read of others as well,let me know how you get on x

    hiya im the same, doing 4 dd's. dont think the loses would be good enough otherwise. ill be keeping a look out for your diary :) x

    Had a check of the stickie and the losses are great, I weighed in this morning and after 5 days I'm down 2lbs and that's after a normal day of eating so I'm very pleased, I've not followed the judd plan as such but have had my vlcd packs a few days and eaten normal for a few days aswell.

    It's great and I know it's not just water weight either. I'm keeping Saturdays as my weigh in days from Monday as weekends is when my partner is off work so we normally go out for food or do something nice at home, only 8lbs to go untill I'm 11stone bracket am hoping il get that all off next month :)

    Hi, can I join you?
    Started JUDDD with a DD yesterday and had a UD today. Don't know if I'm doing it right ;-) had 500 cal yesterday and 1750 cal today which seems an awful lot to me !!!
    I lost 6 stone doing WW but put 2 stone back on. Used to sticking to 18 WW points a day ( the old system ) so don't know if eating 2000 cals in one day will work for me but I've read through the threads and it seems to work for others...so....here goes Any advice will be gratefully received ;-)

    hey im starting juddd today.
    im doing 2000 on an up day and 500 on a down day to give it the swing it needs. also because im hoping to, from next week, add more exercise in to it and on the site it says for me 2017 for up day and 509 on a down day if i exercise lol so just rounding it down :p
    does seem daunting eating 2000 calories in one day but im hoping it'll give me enough to not feel that hungry on the down days :)

    Welcome to both of you. It really does work! Give it a few weeks and you'll be amazed how flexible it is as well. You really do need to eat enough on your UD's To get you through the DD's.....its never going to be a problem if you fall a couple of hundred calories short on your UD's but don't be tempted to eat at a huge deficit or ultimately it will slow your progress.     Doing my 2nd DD today and surprising myself that I can actually do it ;-)

    Hi Emily,

    How's it going? I've done 1DU and 2 DD. thought I would struggle on 500 cals a day but been ok til around 9pm so made myself get up and do some thing then.
    Been on scales this morning and seem to have lost 2lb after 3 days !!!!!!!

    Another DU day today so will try to have 2000 cals ;-)
